Johnny Depp and U.K. libel case lawyer Joelle Rich reportedly dating but not exclusive

Hollywood actor Johnny Depp is reportedly dating Joelle Rich, the lawyer who represented Depp in his 2018 libel lawsuit against The Sun. According to Page Six, earlier this week, it was reported that the Pirates of the Caribbean star has been romantically involved with Rich, one of the defense attorneys from his 2020 U.K. libel lawsuit against The Sun.

As the report suggests, Depp isn’t exclusive with his lawyer-turned-girlfriend. The London-based lawyer represented Depp when he sued The Sun for calling him a "wife-beater" in a news article on former-wife Amber Heard's allegations of domestic violence. Depp lost the case with a judge ruling it's "substantially true" he abused Amber Heard on multiple occasions. His team soon filed to appeal the ruling, but the claim was denied in March 2021.

While Rich did not represent Depp in his defamation lawsuit against Heard in the U.S. earlier this summer, she did make several appearances at the courtroom during the trial. At the time she anticipated the US trial would reveal “complete, irrefutable evidence of the truth in the U.S. libel case against Ms. Heard where she will have to provide full disclosure.”

In the U.S. trial, the actor was represented by Camille Vasquez and Benjamin Chew. Depp eventually won the case in June with jury concluding that Heard intentionally and maliciously defamed Depp when she wrote a 2018 Washington Post op-ed identifying herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.”

The jury ordered Amber Heard to pay Johnny Depp $15 million in damages and awarded the Aquaman actress $2 million as compensation for one of Depp’s former lawyers having defamed Heard in the media.

Don’t Worry Darling crew denies screaming matches between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh on the sets of the film

A group of 40 crew members, that worked on the production of Don't Worry Darling, issued a joint statement on Saturday denying the reports of tensions between director Olivia Wilde and star Florence Pugh on the set of the psychological thriller.

According to Entertainment Weekly, allegations that Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh got into a "screaming match" on set are "complete false," according to the crew members, which include writer and producer Katie Silberman, producer Miri Yoon, costume designer Arianne Phillips, and director of photography Matthew Libatique.

"As a crew, we've avoided addressing the absurd gossip surrounding the movie we're so proud of, but feel the need to correct the anonymous 'sources' quoted in a recent article," Silberman and co. said in a joint statement issued to People. "Any allegations about unprofessional behavior on the set of Don't Worry Darling are completely false."

Olivia Wilde, "an incredible leader and director who was present with and involved in every aspect of production," the crew said, "ran this set with class and respect for everyone involved." The statement continued, "There was never a screaming match between our director and anyone, let alone a member of our cast."

"We are happy to put our names on this, as real people who worked on the film, and who have witnessed and benefitted from the collaborative and safe space Olivia creates as a director and leader," the crew members continued. "We're also thrilled that the movie is in theaters this weekend."

Miri Yoon, a producer for Don't Worry Darling, also told PEOPLE exclusively, "Rumors of screaming matches between our director and leading lady on set are completely unfounded. We truly hope you enjoy the movie." The statement comes after a Friday report from Vulture tabloid in which an anonymous source recalled a “screaming match” between Wilde and Pugh.

The report said then-studio head Toby Emmerich had to intervene and moderate a “long negotiation process” to ensure that Pugh would participate in the film’s press promotion and “not jeopardize the potential box office.”

Don't Worry Darling arrives in theaters September 30.

Rihanna confirms to headline 2023 Super Bowl halftime show in February

Global popstar Rihanna confirmed she will be headlining the next Super Bowl Halftime Show for Super Bowl LVII.

The nine-time Grammy winner shared a picture of an NFL-branded football on her Instagram, hunting that she will be performing at the next Halftime Show. The show is set to take place at the State Farm Stadium on February 12, 2023 in Glendale, AZ.

According to Variety, Roc Nation also officially confirmed the singer’s participation through a statement released on Sunday. The game, which typically draws one of the biggest single TV audiences of the year, is scheduled to be played at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on February 12.

Following the announcement, Jay-Z – who is also part of organizing the massive NFL halftime showcase – said Sunday, “Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn. A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.”

The upcoming Super Bowl will feature the first halftime show sponsored by Apple Music. The streaming giant will be taking over from longtime sponsor Pepsi, who was behind the previous Super Bowl show headlined by Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent at this year’s NFL championship game at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium.

Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setu to release in theatres on THIS date; makers to release the ‘first glimpse’

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's last three releases, Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj and Raksha Bandhan, failed to create magic at the box office. However, the actor is already looking forward to his Diwali release in theatres after Cuttputlli was released on Disney+ Hotstar earlier this month. And, now, the makers have announced the release date of the upcoming film.

Taking to his verified social media handle, Khiladi Kumar shared a poster featuring him along with the release date written on it, which is October 25, 2022. Meanwhile, in the caption, the actor gave an update to his fans as he wrote, “Come join us and be a part of this exciting journey…/ Worldwide first glimpse of Ram Setu, today at 12 noon”, in Hindi.

In less than 30 minutes, the announcement post has garnered over 123k likes. On the other hand, the comments section is flooded with reactions from fans. While many dropped red-heart, and fire emoticons, a section of netizens wrote, “can’t wait”.

Earlier, Bollywood Hungama reported that the trailer of the upcoming film is cleared by CBFC with UA Certificate while revealing the runtime. A source told us, “Akshay Kumar is already gearing for his fourth theatrical release this year and fifth overall. Following the release of Raksha Bandhan in cinemas in August, his next is Ram Setu hitting the theatres during Diwali 2022.”

Adding further, the source continued, “Now, the fans can get excited that the trailer of the film has been cleared by CBFC with an a U/A certificate. The runtime of the trailer is around 3 minutes and 10 seconds. The countdown for the trailer launch begins.”

Talking about the film, along with Kumar, the star cast also includes Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film is an action-adventure drama that brings forward a story deeply rooted in Indian cultural and historical heritage.

Money laundering case: Jacqueline Fernandez to appear before the Delhi court on Monday

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez and her link to alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar only gets entangled further as the matter continues to make news. The latest update on that front was that the actress will appear before Delhi’s Patiala House court on Monday morning, in connection with the extortion case. As per several reports, Fernandez’s legal team will be seeking pre-arrest bail.

The Kick actress will appear before special NIA judge Shailendra Malick. The supplementary charge sheet in the case has been submitted, therefore at the time of Fernandez's appearance before the court, her legal team will be submitting a pre-arrest bail application. Last week, Jacqueline was questioned by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police for over seven hours. She had been called in for questioning on her alleged involvement in the crime a second time.

On the other hand, Fernandez’s stylist Leepakshi Ellawadi was also questioned at Delhi EOW, where she admitted that she was given Rs. 3 crores by Sukesh Chandrashekhar to purchase actress’ gifts. As per a PTI report, Ellawadi confirmed Jacqueline and Sukesh’s relationship and revealed that Sukesh contacted her in an attempt to understand the likes and dislikes of Jacqueline. Her statement also mentioned that the conman was trying to woo the actress.

For the unversed, the Housefull actress has been accused of being in a relationship with alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is involved in the Rs. 200 crore extortion case. However, the actress has asserted that she wasn’t aware of his crimes when she was in touch with him. The actress has been accused of receiving gifts worth Rs. 7 crores.

Varsha Bumra from Haryana wins DID Super Moms Season 3

After a successful run of three months full of dance and entertainment since July 2022, DID Super Moms Season 3 finally came to an end with much grandeur on September 25, 2022. The finale episode saw a host of special guests like Rashmika Mandanna, Neena Gupta and Govinda who entertained the audiences along with the judges Remo D’Souza, Bhagyashree Dassani, and Urmila Matondkar. While the top 6 contestants- Varsha Bumra, Aplana Pandey, Riddhi Tiwari, Sadhana Mishra, Sadika Khan and Anila Rajan impressed audiences with their exhilarating finale performances, it was Varsha who took home the trophy. Acing every challenge and giving a tough competition to the Super Mom, were finalists Sadhana Mishra and Sadika Mishra who were announced as the first and second runner up after the public voting.

Special guest Govinda brought the trophy on the sets of the show and danced with contestant Alpana Pandey to his song 'Aap Ka Aa Jane Se’. Apart from that, Neena Gupta also performed with the top 6 Super Moms to her popular song 'Choli Ka Peecha Kya Hai'. From performing with Govinda to Remo, Rashmika Mandana too shook her leg on songs from her blockbuster film Pushpa. The finale episode had contestants, paying a beautiful tribute to Govinda by performing his popular tracks.

Winner of DID Super Moms Season 3, Varsha Bumra mentioned, “This is honestly a dream come true for me. The entire journey on DID Super Moms has been a great learning experience. Varun Dhawan makes plans to get ‘andhar ki khabar’ from Amazon Prime; finds the budget file on Farzi

Prime Video dropped a humorous film a couple of days ago where we saw Varun Dhawan being questioned by everyone in his vicinity for the inside scoop on Amazon Originals. The video features his warm relationship with Prime Video as the actor attempts different ways to get this information from his “friend” who works at the service. However, when it doesn’t work and we can Varun taking it up as a challenge to get top-secret information himself.

Now, in the second film, that released earlier today, it is a continuation where Varun Dhawan is portrayed as the man-with-a-plan as he tries different tactics to get access to this classified information. From flicking his friend’s ID card to listening in on secret conversations, the hilarious video features Varun sneaking into the corporate maze of Prime Video’s office. The video showcases Varun coming across a file on the budget of the Shahid Kapoor starrer Farzi where he is surprised to see the expense of his hairstyling budget and wonders why its three times higher than his own.

He also goes to the extent of planting a microchip on one of the employees’ shoulder. While he is excited to know about the different stars they want to work with, he gets disappointed when they talk about his brother Rohit Dhawan as well as South star Vijay Deverakonda but never take VD’s name. He goes on to say, “What about me yaar? I mean I get it ya… South heroes faad rahe hai (South heroes are killing it) and full respect to them. But… Main bhi unke tarah dance karr sakta hoon yaar.“

Pathaan makers release a new poster of a shirtless Shah Rukh Khan

The actor will be seen in the action entertainer Pathaan along with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham playing pivotal roles. Ananya Panday to make her OTT debut with Call Me Bae; to be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment

While she made her Bollywood debut under Dharma Productions, Ananya Panday has once again chosen the same production house to make her OTT debut. Dharmatic Entertainment, which is the digital wing of Dharma Productions, will be launching the SOTY actress on OTT with the show titled Call Me Bae. In fact, if reports are to be believed, the actress is expected to feature in a hoity-toity avatar in this Amazon Prime series.

As per Peeping Moon reports, Ananya Panday will be seen in the role of a billionaire fashionista in the Karan Johar production Call Me Bae. From what we hear, the actress is expected to hail from an ultra-wealthy family and will be seen being caught in a sensational scandal. As she navigates her way through the repercussions, her character also sets out on a journey of self-discovery. The series is also expected to feature a stellar cast besides having Ananya Panday in the lead but the details are currently being kept under wraps. Collin D’Cunha who was supposed to direct Dostana 2, will be directing this series and Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair have written this series.

Ananya Panday has recently announced Dream Girl 2 with Ayushmann Khurrana and the actress will be seen alongside him for the first time. After completing it, the actress is expected to dive into Call Me Bae by the end of this year. The show is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime in the second half of 2023.

As for Ananya Panday, her association with Dharma Productions is a long standing one with the actress making her debut with Student Of The Year 2, followed by films like Gehraiyaan and the recent Liger opposite South star Vijay Deverakonda. Dharmatic Entertainment also producing her mother Bhavana Pandey’s show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives which also features the lives of Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, and Seema Sajdeh.

Navratri Special: Brahmastra to be available only for Rs. 100 from Sept 26 to Sept 29

Ever since the announcement of Brahmastra, the film has been constantly in news. Despite the fact that the film released seven years after its announcement, the film has been receiving a massive response at the box office. Directed by Ayan Mukerj, the film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt has been doing well at the box office. After, a stunning first week, the business of the film which also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy saw an immense spike on its second weekend. In fact, on National Cinemas Day, September 23, Brahmastra was one of the biggest crowd-pullers as the tickets were available for Rs. 75. Now owing to the same, the makers have decided to extend and retain the low fare of tickets. They have decided to retain the fare to Rs.100 for the next Navrati week.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the developments on social media adding, “'BRAHMASTRA' ? 100 TICKET FROM MON - THU... After the phenomenal response on #NationalCinemaDay2022, #Brahmastra will be available at a special price of ? 100 from 26 to 29 Sept 2022 [#Navratri]...” Audiences have expressed their love for the fantasy adventure and director Ayan Mukerji has also promised that the next two instalments are already in the pipeline. Given the ticket pricing, trade predictions state that the business of Brahmastra will see further growth over the coming week with audience flocking to theatres over the festive occasion of Navratri. In fact, Brahmastra which has already managed to rake in Rs. 238.20 cr could well see its overall business crossing the Rs. 250 cr mark in the coming days.

For the uninitiated, Brahmastra Part One Shiva, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is a fantasy adventure inspired by Indian mythology. Produced by Dharma Productions and Karan Johar, the film was released on September 9 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

BREAKING: Adipurush’s teaser to be launched by Prabhas and the film’s team in Ayodhya on October 2

Superstar of the Telugu film industry Prabhas became the heartthrob of the nation after the release of Baahubali – The Beginning (2015). The blockbuster success of Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion (2017) and the super-success of Saaho (2019) cemented his position at the box office. Though Radhe Shyam (2022) failed, his popularity remains intact. Hence, there’s tremendous excitement for his next film, Adipurush.

Recently, there were reports that the much-awaited teaser of the film is expected to be out on October 3. Reportedly, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and director Om Raut will be launching the promo at Ayodhya. Bollywood Hungama has learnt there has been a slight change in plans.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The teaser will be unveiled on Sunday, October 2. Prabhas along with the team of Adipurush will be in attendance in Ayodhya. This religious town in Uttar Pradesh is the birthplace of Lord Ram, on whom Adipurush is based. Hence, the makers thought that it’ll be apt to hold promotional activities there.”

Several people from the media fraternity in Mumbai will be flown down to Ayodhya to cover the event. The source said, “It’s not sure yet who all from the cast and crew of Adipurush will be present for the first look launch, besides Prabhas. However, the makers are confident that the event will be a memorable one as they have immense confidence about the product.”

Besides Prabhas, Adipurush also stars Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Vatsal Sheth. It is directed by Om Raut of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020) fame and produced by T-Series. The source continued, “Om Raut has proved his worth and knows how to make a grand film. Adipurush is expected to be a visual spectacle. The poster, as well as the teaser, will reflect the scale of the film and further enhance the hype.”

Meanwhile, Arjun Kumar, the head of the Luv-Kush Ramlila Committee confirmed that Prabhas will also attend the Ravan Dahan ceremony at Ramlila grounds, Delhi, on October 5, on the occasion of Dussehra.

Adipurush will be released in cinemas on January 12, 2023.

BREAKING: Mani Ratnam reveals Ajay Devgn is the narrator in the Hindi version of Ponniyin Selvan: Part-1

Mani Ratnam is all set to release his much-awaited film, Ponniyin Selvan: Part-1, in cinemas and the excitement is palpable. After all, he’s considered one of the finest filmmakers of Indian cinema. The trend of having crossover films has picked up recently but his films have made a mark in Hindi-speaking markets since the time of Roja (1992). Hence, not just in the Southern markets but Ponniyin Selvan: Part-1 has a chance to excel even in the Hindi belts, when it’ll be released on September 30.

Mani Ratnam along with the cast of his film – Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Trisha – and music composer A R Rahman attended the grand press conference of the film in Mumbai, on September 24. At this event, he revealed that Ajay Devgn has done the narration in the film. He revealed about this and also thanked the versatile star, with whom he had worked before in Yuva (2004). He also thanked Anil Kapoor, for voicing the Hindi dubbed version of the theatrical trailer.

Mani Ratnam said, “PS (Ponniyin Selvan) has been a dream for a very long time, since the time I first read the book during my school days. I neither thought I’d ever get into films nor did I think I'd make it. But it’s always been my calling to be made. It’s so spectacular as a story and as an adventure. Several people had tried to do this before. They couldn’t for various reasons. Maybe they wanted to leave it for me! I am so happy and so glad that I got a chance to make it, that too at this point in time when the technology has improved tremendously. Hence, we were able to make it with a lot more comfort and authenticity. To be able to do it with this kind of cast and crew, with actors who are not just right for the role but also care for the film, is very special. I’d like to thank each one of them. I’d also like to thank the producer (Allirajah Subaskaran) who trusted us and gave us the money to go ahead and make it.”

Mani Ratnam then added, “I have two more people thank. They are from the Hindi film industry. One is Anil Kapoor. It was his voice in the trailer. And the other is Ajay Devgn. It will be his voice in the film.”

Mani Ratnam later revealed his previous attempt in making Ponniyin Selvan more than three decades ago. He said, “This is the film that M G Ramachandran wanted to make. And I thought of making it after my film Nayakan (1987) with Kamal Haasan. We both wanted to do this film. At that time, we had not started casting. We just had Kamal as the hero and we were working on the script. And it didn't materialize because it’s too big. We couldn’t put the whole story into a single film. Also, we couldn’t afford it.”

Vikram Vedha is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and the craze for the film. The audience is constantly rising as the film is inching toward its release date. Putting an end to the audience's wait, the makers are all set to start the advance bookings of the film today.

Moreover, Vikram Vedha will have the largest international distribution for a Hindi film, with a record-breaking 100+ countries worldwide. Before its release, the film sparked worldwide interest and appeal, and many countries have already begun advance bookings.

Vikram Vedha is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Reliance Entertainment in association with Friday Filmworks and Jio Studios and a YNOT Studios Production. The film is directed by Pushkar and Gayatri and produced by Bhushan Kumar, S. Sashikanth and Reliance Entertainment. Vikram Vedha is slated to release globally on September 30, 2022.

The film is a Hindi remake of a 2017 Tamil-language release. The original film featured R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupati as the leads.
