Akshay Kumar has come forward to help with a sum of Rs 4 lakhs each for the 25 families who lost everything during Bihar floods. The cheque will be given to the respective families during Chath Puja. Akshay Kumar said that a natural calamity reminds us we are nothing in front of it. He said that we should help in whatever way we can. He further said that it couldn't get bigger than this to help those who lost everything and who can start all over again. On the work front, Akshay Kumar's last release Housefull 4 released in theatres during Diwali weekend.
It's been reported that Preity Zinta and Vir Das will soon an episode of Fresh Off the Boat which is written and produced by Rachna Fruchbom. The episode will revolve around an Indian family whose daughter attends school with Eddie. The girl’s parents, DC and Meena, will be essayed by Vir Das and Preity Zinta. They plan to film the episode on November 18 which won't serve as a backdoor pilot but a potential spin-off titled Magic Motor Inn on ABC Network. If the network decides to move forward the spin-off, they will order a regular pilot during the pilot season. from Fresh Off The Boat producer, 20th Century Fox TV. Indian American writer Rachna Fruchbom will be the executive producer of Magic Motor Inn with the original executive producers Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar. Fresh Off The Boat is a story depicting the life of a Taiwanese-American family in Florida in the 1990s. The sitcom stars Randall Park, Constance Wu, Hudson Yang, Forrest Wheeler, Ian Chen, and Lucille Soong.
Says a source, “While Gangubai Kathiawadi is more of a dark emotional, action drama of the world of brothels, crime, dons and rich men who visit the world of brothels, Baiju Bawra is a pure musical and a dramatized version of the story of the uniquely talented singer Baiju Bawra. It’s to Bhansali’s credit that he is choosing to direct two projects in stark contrast to the other. And the filmmaker has offered the lead and title role of the young Baiju Bawra to Ranveer Singh. Who else can play the passionate, emotional, deeply vengeful and yet intensely romantic Baiju, than Ranveer? SLB and Ranveer have definitely met and the filmmaker has offered the young actor the role of Baiju Bawra. The movie won’t start before next year and by then Ranveer would have completed his other films.” The source adds, “Baiju Bawra is about a young and extremely talented dhrupad singer-composer by the same name, who challenged composer, musician and Hindustani classical vocalist Tansen, to a singing duel, to avenge the death of his musician father, at the court of Mughal Emperor Akbar. When Tansen's sentries tries to stop Baiju's father from singing, and he dies in the struggle, he makes the young Baiju promise to take revenge against Tansen. If Ranveer gives his nod to the movie, it will be again another challenging role for him as he will need some training and knowledge as a singer and musician. It will be interesting to see who plays his romantic interest – will it be Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra? Priyanka holds an edge as she’s an internationally acclaimed singer in her own right.” There are various versions of why bawra was added to Baiju’s name. One theory goes that he was called bawra (crazy) because he was madly in love with a court dancer in Chanderi. Another story goes that when his adopted son Gopal left Baiju taking his family with him, Baiju became mad searching for his granddaughter. The third story explains that he was called bawra because of his deep love for classical music. Tansen was known as one of the Navratnas or Nine Jewels of Mughal Emperor Akbar’s court. Baiju won the competition against Tansen and impressed Akbar too. After his father’s death, Baiju met his teacher Swami Haridas, and trained in a gurukula. He later became one of the court musicians of Man Singh Tomar of Gwalior after he left the court of the Raja of Chanderi. Then he became of the musicians of Raja Mansingh Tomar’s court. Legends say that Baiju Bawra could melt stone, light oil lamps by singing Raag Deepak, create rain by singing the raags Megh, Megh Malhar, or Gaud Malhar and bloom flowers by singing raga Bahar. Says a trade source, “Last week, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Leela Bhansali met at Anand Pandit’s Diwali party and chatted for hours. They caught up on a lot of stuff and that’s when SLB also invited him over to his office. Ajay dropped in a couple of days after that and they had meeting for more than a couple of hours. Bhansali offered him two scripts – a biopic and the other fictional, a love story, which is said to be Baiju Bawra. In Baiju Bawra the actor was offered the role of Tansen. Ajay liked his role in Gangubai as it’s an intense character – a mobster with a golden heart who teaches Gangubai the tricks of the trade and falls in love with her.” According to the source, “Ajay didn’t sign right then as he wants to do the signing and make the announcement at an auspicious date, which will be this week. The star showed the famous filmmaker some scenes his next project, a historical action drama, Tanhaji and Bhansali who himself excels in such period dramas was quite impressed. Says a source close to Karan Johar and Dharma Productions, “Times have changed. There is no longer a need to be apologetic about homosexuality. Dostana 2 will be a reflection of the changing times. The film would be directed by debutant Colin d’Cunha who has assisted Raju Hirani and Advait Chandan, and not Tarun Mansukhani who directed the first film. Also Read: 
We must say that Parineeti has been giving her best shot to step into Saina’s shoes. In the past, there were reports of how Pari was training well and hard to ace her game at badminton. Parineeti has also been taking some tips and dollops of inspiration from the ace badminton star. Though the two have been in touch and interacted regularly. An excited Parineeti says, "I want to become Saina. For that, I want to go to her house and see how she lives. We have met many times, but this time I want to go to her house, live like her and eat like her for a day. She has promised me that her mom will feed me the exact food that Saina eats. So I am excited to go to her house and live her life for one whole day." The film is already on floors and Parineeti is deep into prep. The biopic on Saina Nehwal is being directed by Amole Gupte and is being produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-series.
Over the years, the song has gained cult status featuring Raveena Tandon and Govinda's signature moves. The recreation of the song will be choreographed by Farah Khan. Director Mudassar Aziz is excited to have her on board because the choreographer-turned-filmmaker has seen his growth from an assistant director to a writer and finally, a filmmaker. Mudassar further said that their story is based in a certain milieu. To take the narrative forward, they required most songs. The makers collectively felt that they needed a fun song to communicate with the audience and that the characters could let loose in an alternate setting, where even the Patni and Woh could be together. This much-awaited romantic comedy is the remake of BR Chopra’s 1978 classic hit film which starred Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta. Produced by T-series and BR Films, Pati Patni Aur Woh is slated to release on December 6.

Bollywood Hungama last week had reported that Bala might also follow suit and arrive with Ujda Chaman. And it has now come to light that the clash is indeed happening! "Bala will in fact release on Thursday October 31, a day before Ujda Chaman," says a source and further adds, "The producers of Bala are having a race against time to ensure that their film makes it on October 31, even if that means minimal time for promotions." The question is - how will Bala manage to get adequate screens? Just day before yesterday, three films released - Housefull 4, Saand Ki Aankh and Made In China, with the last one also produced by Bala's producers. At this, the source explains, "Housefull 4 is the biggest film of the week with an extensive release and looking at the response, it's bound to fall from Tuesday or Wednesday onwards. Hence the exhibitors won't have any issue in giving away shows to Bala and also to Ujda Chaman." There were already speculations last week that Bala may get preponed to clash with Ujda Chaman. The industry got even more confident when Neil Nitin Mukesh's production, Bypass Road, postponed its release from November 1 to November 8 while Sooraj Pancholi starrer Satellite Shankar that was to arrive on November 15 was similarly preponed to November 8. "Since a big film like Bala made the November 8 slot vacant, it made sense to arrive on this said date for both the films," tells the source. The only roadblock faced by Bala is the legal proceedings. Two parties have filed separate cases against the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer. One is by Ujda Chaman producers, who have officially adapted a Kannada movie Ondu Motteya Kathe and claim that Bala is an unofficial copy of the original film. The other case is filed by aspiring filmmaker Kamal Kant Chandra who claims Bala is similar to his venture, titled Wig. The hearing for both cases is on November 4. The source adds, "It remains to be seen if Bala can release on October 31, 5 days before the scheduled hearing. However, since there’s no stay order on the release, the producers of Bala are confident and hence they are going ahead with bringing their film a day before Ujda Chaman." Before signing off, the source informs, "The official announcement will be made by Sunday, October 27 or Monday October 28. They'll also throw open the advance booking of Bala as soon as they announce its new release date.” However, a press release by the production house states that the movie will release on November 7, as planned earlier. On this auspicious day of Diwali, Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films have decided that we will release our film Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the title role on our original release date of 7th November, putting an end to much speculation. Jyoti Deshpande President of the RIL Media & Entertainment business said " Ours is the one and only original Bala and in the best interest of business of theatre owners, our fellow producers and audience convenience we will do select preview of our film as planned on 7th November and release it widely across nationwide cinemas on Friday the 8th of November. Diwali is an auspicious occasion to show grace and positivity and that's exactly what we believe in. We have made a film that audiences are going to love and this decision comes from that confidence and conviction". Also Read:

And that had to be translated into the visuals as well. The treatment and grammar were thus very simplistic, open, and easy to the eye. Rajkumar Rao brought tremendous credibility to the film and the campaign. At the trailer launch, Salman Khan recalled how his attempt at dubbing in Tamil did not work well for Prabhu Dheva. Salman said, “I was going to dub in all three languages. In fact, I went to the recording studio and said a line in Tamil. The person in charge said 'okay' so I started saying my dialogues one after the other in Tamil.” When Prabhu Dheva heard the recordings, all he could ask was what language is this because it sounded nowhere close to Tamil.
