Mirzapur actor Brahma Mishra found dead in his apartment in Mumbai

Actor Brahma Mishra, who is popularly known for essaying the role of Lalit in the web series Mirzapur was found dead at his residence in Mumbai's suburban Versova. Reportedly, the actor was found dead on the bathroom floor of his house where he lives alone.

The cause of his death has not been ascertained and the body has been sent for an autopsy. The police suspect that the actor suffered a cardiac arrest. As per reports, the apartment was locked from the inside. The police have filed a case of accidental death.

Mishra was living alone at his flat for the past four years. The police said that he was last seen a few days ago, adding that the body was partially decomposed. The neighbours informed the cops after a stench came from the flat. The police used a duplicate key to enter the apartment and found Mishra's body in the bathroom. There were no visible injury marks on the body.

Mishra is also known for his roles in movies like Haseen Dillruba, Kesari, and Chor Chor Super Chor.

Vishal Furia's spine-chilling horror thriller Bali to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on December 9

Amazon Prime Video today announced the global release of the Marathi horror-thriller Bali, starring one of Marathi cinema’s most revered actors Swapnil Joshi, along with Pooja Sawant and Samarth Jadhav. Helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Furia, (Lapachhapi and its recent Hindi remake, Amazon Original Movie Chhorii), and produced by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar’s GSEAMS (Global Sports Entertainment and Media Solutions Private Limited), Bali is set to premiere on Prime Video on 9 December in India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Bali is about the life of a widowed, middle-class father, Shrikant (Swapnil Joshi), which takes an unexpected turn when his 7-year-old son Mandar (Samarth Jadhav) collapses and is referred to a Jan Sanjeevani hospital for a detailed diagnosis. Things change when Mandar starts talking to a mysterious nurse, who he claims is staying in the abandoned part of the hospital.

Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline to star in Alfonso Cuarón's thriller series Disclaimer

Academy Award winning actors Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline are set to star in the Apple’s thriller series Disclaimer. The project will be helmed by director Alfonso Cuarón, as reported by variety.

According to Variety, Disclaimer is said to be based on the novel of the same name by Renee Knight. Blanchett stars as Catherine Ravenscroft, a successful and respected television documentary journalist whose work has been built on revealing the concealed transgressions of long-respected institutions. When an intriguing novel written by a widower (Kline) appears on her bedside table, she is horrified to realize she is a key character in a story that she had hoped was long buried in the past.

Cuarón is currently under an overall deal at Apple, with Disclaimer being the first project ordered to series under the deal.Disclaimer will also mark the first regular live-action television role of Kline’s career.

Cuarón’s most recent feature was the critically-acclaimed film Roma, on which he served as writer, director, producer, editor, and cinematographer. The film won three Oscars: best foreign language film and best director and cinematography for Cuarón. He has been nominated for six Oscars throughout his career, winning three — his two for Romaand best director for Gravity, which he also co-wrote and produced.

On the work front, Kline is known for his work in film and on the stage, having won an Oscar for A Fish Called Wanda. His other noted film roles include Sophie’s Choice, The Big Chill, In and Out, Silverado, and Cry Freedom. In television, he has provided the voice of Mr. Fischoeder on the hit animated series Bob’s Burgers since the show began, earning himself an Emmy nomination in 2017 for best voice over performance.

Cate Blanchett, on the other hand, recently starred in the FX limited series Mrs. America, for which she picked up an Emmy nomination for best actress in a limited series in 2020. She is a six-time Oscar nominee, winning two of the awards for her work in Blue Jasmine and The Aviator. She has also starred in films such as Noteson a Scandal, Elizabeth and Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Carol, and The Lord of the Rings.

Alfonso Cuarón is writing the adaptation and will also direct and executive produce Disclaimer, under his Esperanto Filmoj banner along with Gabriela Rodriguez. Blanchett will executive produce in addition to starring. Anonymous Content’s David Levine, Dawn Olmstead and Steve Golin are also executive producers. Academy Award-winner Emmanuel Lubezki will serve as director of photography alongside Academy Award nominee Bruno Delbonnel.

Alec Baldwin breaks down in first interview after Rust shooting that killed Haylna Hutchins, says ‘ I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger’

American actor-producer Alec Baldwin has now said that he never pulled the trigger of the gun that shot director of photography Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust.

In an excerpt released on Wednesday from the sit-down interview with ABC news, set to air on Thursday, Baldwin said, “The trigger wasn't pulled. I didn't pull the trigger.” When asked why he pointed the gun at Hutchins and pulled the trigger when that wasn't in the script, Baldwin said, “I would never point a gun at anyone and then pull the trigger, never.”

Baldwin also said he has no idea how a live bullet got in the Colt .45 revolver he used in the scene. “Someone put a live bullet in the gun, a bullet that wasn't even supposed to be on the property,” he said. An emotional Baldwin visibly fought back tears when talking about Hutchins. “She was someone who was loved by everyone who worked with her, liked by everyone who worked with her -- and admired," Baldwin said, adding, "it doesn't seem real to me.”

When asked if the shooting was the worst thing that had ever happened to him, Baldwin said yes, “because I think back and I think, what could I have done?”

Hutchins was killed and director Joel Souza injured in October after Baldwin discharged a weapon during a rehearsal that contained what authorities suspect was a live round. The incident, which remains under investigation, has renewed calls for better safety practices on sets with regards to the use of weapons. Baldwin has said he believes police officers should be present on “every film/TV set that uses guns, fake or otherwise” to monitor weapons safety.

The actor, best known for playing an egotistical TV network executive on TV comedy series 30 Rock has kept a low profile since the October shooting in New Mexico. Two crew members have filed lawsuits accusing Baldwin, the producers and others on the production of negligence and lax safety protocols. The producers have said they are conducting their own internal investigation.

The diva of dramatic acting Shabana Azmi is looking five years younger these days. She has lost more than 10 kilos especially for Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani where she plays Alia Bhatt’s grandmother.

Karan Johar who directs Shabana for the first time wanted a svelte slim and sexy grandmom. Shabana Azmi, known to be a method actor anytime anywhere, accepted the challenge and lost the extra kilos within weeks. Interestingly she had to put ten kilos for Shyam Benegal’s Mandi in 1983 and quickly lose it all for her other films.

“Losing and gaining weight for your characters is not something I recommend, especially after a certain age. But here in Karan’s film, I needed an excuse to lose weight,” says Shabana.

Speaking on her role in Karan’s film Shabana says, “It is not a routine grandmother’s role. My character is a very sophisticated upper-class woman. Manish Malhotra has designed some exquisite clothes for me.”

The 5 times National-award winning actress is all praise for her director. “Karan is so evolved as a filmmaker. I was surprised by how much control he has over his plot and characters.”

YRF Entertainment announces first web series The Railway Men starring R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu Sharma and Babil Khan

Yash Raj Films is venturing into the booming digital content (over-the-top or OTT) landscape of India. YRF’s streaming content production business will be called YRF Entertainment and it will churn out five marquee projects to begin within its first year. The first big project to hit the floors from the banner is titled The Railway Men – a tribute to the railway workers at Bhopal station who are the unsung heroes of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, the world’s biggest man-made industrial disaster. YRF announced this project on the same day to salute the heroes of Bhopal who saved thousands of lives when the crisis hit the city 37 years back. The Railway Men is being directed by debutant Shiv Rawail, who has been homegrown at YRF and is being mentored by Aditya Chopra.

Shiv will start the proceedings at YRF Entertainment with his content-forward one-season limited series about the resilience of human spirit in the face of a disaster. The Railway Men will feature four brilliant actors like R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu Sharma and Babil Khan. These four actors helm the show and the company will also announce the presence of several other powerful performers in due course of time. The Railway Men started filming from December 1st, yesterday.

In the late hours of December 2, 1984, methyl isocyanate gas leaked from a pesticide factory owned by the American Union Carbide Corporation. It has been reported that more than half a million people were poisoned that night and the official death toll exceeded 5,000.

Thousands of survivors have said they, their children and grandchildren are struggling with chronic health problems like cancer, blindness, respiratory, immune and neurological problems as a result of the leak.

YRF Entertainment’s The Railway Men will stream on December 2, 2022, as a homage to humanity and colossal sacrifice in the wake of a crisis that shook the nation.

Jaya Bachchan to play a Halwai; to attempt comedy in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

For the first time in her career, the versatile Jaya Bachchan will be attempting comedy in Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions’ Ranveer Singh – Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

Jaya plays Ranveer Singh’s grandmother and her role has distinct shades of comedy in it. Says a source very close to the project, “Jayaji plays a halwai (mithai maker). She plays a loud earthy outspoken woman who loves a good laugh, at her own expense or at the expense of others. It is her most fun-filled role to date. She loves Karan Johar for giving her a role that didn’t require her to be serious all the time. She is enjoying just letting down her hair.”

Sources from the location in Delhi say that the fun Jayaji is having on camera is spilling over to her real life. “She has never been such a fun person. She keeps joking on the sets that Karan Johar couldn’t get Johnny Lever’s dates, so he signed Jayaji instead,” informs a source.

As for the film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is being directed by Karan Johar. Produced under the Dharma Productions banner, the film stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Dharmendra. Announced in July 2021, the film is being readied for release on February 10, 2023.

Actor Salman Khan has just announced that the Da-Bangg tour will commence on December 10 in Riyadh. Right after the release of Antim - The Final Truth, the actor and his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma will also join the tour. The star-studded tour will also feature Shilpa Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez, Saiee Manjrekar, Prabhu Deva, Sunil Grover, Kamal Khan, and Guru Randhawa.

On November 30, Salman Khan shared the poster of the upcoming show and captioned it, "Da-Bangg The Tour Reloaded is coming to Riyadh with a bangg on 10th Dec 2021! Are you ready for the biggest event of the year?"

GOT7’s Youngjae and Penthouse’s Choi Ye Bin to star in web drama Love & Wish

South Korean group GOT7 member Youngjae and The Penthouse star Choi Ye Bin are all set to star together in CINE de RAMA’s third project Love & Wish.

According to The web drama Love & Wish is based on a webtoon. It is written by Ine and distributed by Kakao Page, and it will be produced by Cube Entertainment. The webtoon has been loved by 1.5 million subscribers because it tells a story about love, friendship, and growth of high schoolers that teens and people in their twenties can deeply empathize with.

GOT7’s Youngjae will take the role of the male lead Kim Seung Hyu. This is the first time he has been selected to play the male protagonist of a romance drama since his debut.

The Penthouse star Choi Ye Bin will play the female lead Son Da Eun. Yoo Jae Sang, who appeared in movies like 4th Place and Student A, will star as Na Yoo Il.

On the work front, Youngjae was last seen earlier this year in Netflix’s So Not Worth It. On 5^th October, he made his solo debut with his first extended play, Colors from Ars, and its title track Vibin. Six days later, he released a fall-winter clothes collection in collaboration with Korean casual brand Plac.

Besides Choi Ye Bin also featured in film Good Deal which was released in July this year.

Love & Wish is scheduled to be released in December.

A.C.E’s Jun, Yoo Hyun Woo and Kim Tae Jung to star in historical fantasy BL drama Tinted with You

South Korean pop-group A.C.E member Jun and actors Yoo Hyun Woo and Kim Tae Jung will be staring in a new BL (boy love) web drama together.

On November 30, Moving Pictures Company, which produced the BL web dramas Wish You: Your Melody From My Heart, Nobleman Ryu’s Wedding, and The Tasty Florida, revealed that they will be releasing a new historical BL drama titled Tinted With You.

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, Tinted With You is Korea’s second sageuk (historical drama) BL web drama since Nobleman Ryu’s Wedding, and it’s a time slip fantasy romance about the meeting between Heon, who is in danger of death within a painting, his bodyguard Geum, and present-day Eun Ho.

A.C.E’s Jun will be starring as high school student Eun Ho, who loves paintings. Jun will skillfully capture Eun Ho’s desperate feelings as he receives the task of finishing a painting and returning to the present time while protecting what he loves.

Yoo Hyun Woo plays Heon, the dethroned crowned prince who lives an uneasy life, feeling threatened for his life every day by his older brother who is the king. Viewers are looking forward to seeing how Yoo Hyun Woo will depict the feelings of sympathy he feels for Eun Ho when they meet during his time in exile.

Kim Tae Jung, who impressed with his role in MBC’s Extraordinary You, will be playing Heon’s bodyguard Geum, who silently protects Heon by facing against assassins. Although he’s clumsy at expressing his emotions, Geum is a tenderhearted character who sincerely worries for Heon more than anyone else.

Tinted with You will premiere on December 23 and be released every Thursday and Friday on Viki.

Saif Ali Khan kicks off the shoot for Vikram Vedha in Lucknow

Actor Saif Ali Khan has recently reached Lucknow to kick off his schedule for his upcoming action thriller film Vikram Vedha. The film which is the remake of the 2017 Tamil film titled the same has Saif Ali Khan essaying the role of a cop (Vikram).

The film is being helmed by Pushkar-Gayathri, the duo who helmed the original film. As Saif Ali Khan has reached Lucknow city, he is putting in some serious efforts and hard work for his cop act. A source revealed, “This week, Saif Ali Khan kicked off his schedule for Vikram Vedha in Lucknow. Playing the role of an encounter cop in the film, Saif has been hard at work with his tough shooting schedule!"

With Vikram Vedha remake, the actor surely guarantees to impress the audience with a thriller act. Saif's character in the film is a cop (Vikram) who is determined to capture a gangster (Vedha), played by Hrithik Roshan. The storyline then follows Vedha telling stories to the cop, which changes his perception of good and bad. Originally the roles of Vikram and Vedha were played by R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi respectively.

Prithviraj to direct and act in Hindi web series inspired by the life of Biscuit King- Rajan Pillai

Prithviraj Sukumaran is one of the biggest superstars of the Malayalam film industry. The actor who made his acting debut in 2002 turned director with the Mohanlal starrer Lucifer which was one of the biggest hits of 2019. Now, Prithviraj is all set to direct and act in a Hindi web series that revolves around the life of Biscuit King- Rajan Pillai.

Late on Tuesday evening, Yoodlee Films officially announced the series with a first look poster of Prithviraj. Announcing the web series, they wrote, "We believe in fearless stories that can inspire. Presenting our latest project in the making: A Hindi web series inspired by the life story of India's 'Biscuit King' - Rajan Pillai with National Award winner @PrithviOfficial playing the lead role and also directing the series."

Rajan Pillai was a shareholder of Britannia Industries. He was based in Singapore in the mid-1970s from where he managed positions in biscuit companies Nabisco, Huntley & Palmer, Britannia among others. In 1993 he was investigated by Singapore's Commercial Affairs Department. In 1995, he was jailed in India and later died awaiting medical treatment.

The series is currently in pre-production and will commence in mid-2022.

Kangana Ranaut files FIR after receiving death threats

Actress Kangana Ranaut a few days ago took a dig at the current Farmer's protest which is going on in the country. She took it to her Instagram handle and penned a long note targeting the farmers. She even called the protest a 'Khalistani Movement'. Post that, several FIRs were filed against the actress from Mumbai as well as Delhi. Apart from that, the actress has been also receiving various death threats for her post. Taking action upon the death threats, the Queen actress has now lodged an FIR against the ones who've been threatening her. She also shared a copy of the FIR on her Instagram.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a post in which she posted a picture of herself from the Golden Temple and pictures of the FIR copy. In her caption she wrote, "Remembering the martyrs of the terrorist attack in Mumbai, I wrote that never forgive or forget the traitors. In this type of incident, the internal traitors of the country have a hand. The traitorous traitors never left a single opportunity to tarnish Mother India in the greed of money and sometimes in the greed of position and power and the traitors inside the country kept on helping the anti-national forces by conspiring, only then such incidents. I am getting constant threats from disruptive forces on this very post of mine. A brother of Bathinda has openly threatened to kill me. I am not afraid of this type of threats. I speak against those who conspire against the country and terrorist forces and will always speak. Be it Naxalites killing innocent jawans, tukde tukde gangs or terrorists sitting abroad dreaming of making Khalistan by cutting the holy land of Gurus in Punjab in the eighties.
