BREAKING: Sushmita Sen’s daughter Renee all set to make her acting debut with Suttabaazi

Sushmita Sen is having an eventful 2020 it seems. Her digital debut in the thrilling web series Aarya was very well received. And now her daughter Renée is all set to make her acting debut! The 21-year-old actress is entering the world of cinema with a film titled Suttabaazi. The shooting for the film commenced yesterday.

As per reports, Suttabaazi is set in the lockdown period and focuses on a mother and daughter who are at odds with another in a conservative household. The makers have promised that Suttabaazi will explore the theme of women empowerment. The role of the rebellious daughter is essayed by Renée Sen. Komal Chhabria and Rahul Vohra, meanwhile, play her parents. Komal Chhabria has worked in films like Padmaavat, Shakuntala Devi, Mardaani 2 etc. Rahul Vohra, on the other hand, is memorable for playing the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s colleague Vinod in Swades.

Suttabaazi marks the feature film debut of director Kabeer Khurana. The filmmaker since a few days has posted several pictures of the film’s pre-production and shooting process. As per reports, Suttabaazi is likely to release directly on a digital platform.

Just last month, Sushmita Sen posted a heartwarming post on Renée’s 21^st birthday, on September 4 on Instagram. 5 years ago, in an interview to a newspaper, Sushmita had revealed that since she was a baby, Renée was a clear that she wants to be an actress and that she loves camera. Sushmita had also added that she has always supported her. Her only condition was that she has to get a degree as ‘everyone needs a shield to protect them’. Sushmita had also revealed in this interview that Renée also has a beautiful voice and she has been training since she was 2 ½ years old. It now remains to be seen if Renée Sen makes her singing debut in her first flick as well.

Remo D'Souza and Salman Yusuff Khan get booked for reckless riding in Goa; their bikes seized

Bollywood choreographers Remo D'Souza and Salman Yusuff Khan, who have been vacationing in Goa, have booked for reckless driving on Atal Setu in Panaji. On October 1, Calangute Police issued summons to the two of them after a video of them went viral on social showcasing them riding bikes along with choreography Shakti Mohan. Both bikes have been reportedly seized.

As per reports, the two-wheelers are prohibited over the Mandovi River bridge due to the high wind speed. When locals saw the video, they called it irresponsible behavior and shared it on social media tagging the DGP, Goa Police, and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. On September 30, the video was deleted.

“Thanks, Goa for bringing traffic violations to notice. Recently two bikers were seen riding on Atal Setu which is closed to 2 wheelers. SP Traffic Dinraj Govekar took cognizance and not only identified and impounded the bikes but has summoned riders for legal action,” the DGP tweeted.

Bigg Boss 14: Sidharth Shukla is charging a whopping Rs. 35 - Rs. 40 lakhs for his two-week-long stay at the house?

Sidharth Shukla, who won the hearts along with the trophy of Bigg Boss 13 will be making a comeback with Bigg Boss 14 that is set to launch today. Known for his wit and will, Sidharth Shukla is one of the most popular actors on television. His fans have managed to make him the first Indian television actor along with Shehnaaz Gill to have one million posts under his hashtag. Apparently, the actor will be charging the makers a hefty fee to be on Bigg Boss 14.

If the reports are to be believed, then Sidharth Shukla initially charged the makers a sum of Rs. 9 lakhs per week during Bigg Boss 13 which went up to Rs. 18 lakhs. The calculations of Sidharth Shukla’s earnings on the show round up to about Rs. 2.15 crores for season 13. However, the Bigg Boss 13 winner is charging a whopping sum for the upcoming season according to the rumour mills. Sidharth will be staying in the house for two weeks and will be paid between Rs. 35 lakhs to Rs. 40 lakhs for his stay.

Akshay Kumar requests media to show sensitivity while reporting about Bollywood

Akshay Kumar, who returned to Mumbai from Scotland a few days ago after wrapping up Bell Bottom, has come to speak up on the matters existing in the industry. The actor took to social media to discuss the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, drug investigation, tarnishing the industry name and hoping sensitivity from media.

“I am talking to you today with a heavy heart. I had a lot of things in my heart to say in the last couple of weeks. There was so much negativity that I couldn’t understand what to say, who to speak with. See, we are called stars but you made Bollywood with your love. We are not just an industry but through films, we have spread our culture and values of our country to every corner of the world,” Akshay said in the video.

“Whenever there was a discussion of our citizens and their sentiments, whatever you were feeling, films have only tried to showcase the same over the years. Be it the ‘angry young man’ or ‘corruption’ or ‘poverty’ or ‘unemployment’ – cinema has tried to showcase it in every way possible. If you have anger, even that anger is understood,” he added.

Speaking of the untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput and how it shined the light on various aspects of the industry, he said, “After the sudden death of Sushant Singh Rajput, many of such issues have come to limelight, it has also pained us the same way as it has pained all of you. And those issues have made us reflect on ourselves. It has made us reflect on many of the issues pertaining to the industry which needed to be attended.”

“Like the talk about Narcotics and drugs, keeping a hand on my heart, how do I say lie to you that this problem doesn’t exist? It does exist. But, everyone from every industry and every profession is involved in that thing can’t be possible. Drugs is a legal matter and I have all the faith in law enforcement and court authorities that whatever they are investigating, it will be right. I also know that everyone from the film industry will cooperate with them. But, folding my hands, I am requesting that please don’t see the entire industry in the same light and diminish the name. This not right. This is wrong,” Akshay Kumar cited.

Speaking about media and the power it holds, he requested the media to be more sensitive in this issue. “Personally, I’ve known the power of media. Our media, if at the correct time does not bring the right issues in the spotlight at the right time, then maybe not a lot of people get their voice and justice. I request the media from the bottom of my heart that they should continue to raise their voices but please show some sensitivity. Because one negative news can ruin the reputation of the person who has worked hard for years.”

“To the fans, I have only this message to say that you only made us. We won’t let your belief in us leave. If you have problems, we will work on it to overcome those issues. We will win your love and belief. If you are there, then we are here. Just be with us. Thank you,” he concluded his 4 minute message.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s cook Neeraj says that the actor did not eat well after Disha Salian’s death

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 and the CBI has been investigating the case since over the past two months. Multiple agencies have been looking into the matter and are trying to find out if there is more to his death. Sushant has received immense love after his film Dil Bechara released post his demise. However, there were reports that his death was somehow linked to Disha Salian’s death which took place a week prior.

Disha Salian died after falling off a high-rise building and the news of her being Sushant’s temporary manager was one of the reasons why their deaths were being linked. Sushant Singh Rajput’s cook, Neeraj, has now reportedly confirmed that the actor’s appetite was affected after he heard of Disha’s death. Neeraj spoke to a portal and said that Sushant had stopped eating properly after the news broke out, and none of his house staff members had had the opportunity to meet Disha Salian. Apart from not eating properly, Neeraj said that Sushant Singh Rajput did not look depressed but was a little upset with the news.

As for the allegations of Rhea Chakraborty firing several members of Sushant Singh Rajput’s house staff, Neeraj has denied those. Neeraj has reportedly said that it was Sushant Singh Rajput who gave her the same authority as him and asked the staff members to follow her orders. She would only scold them if there was a mistake in the household chores but they were not pressurized.

Siddharth Pithani confirms that Sushant Singh Rajput did not meet Rhea Chakraborty a night before his demise

There have been multiple speculations regarding Sushant Singh Rajput’s death being a murder or a suicide. However, in her interview with Aaj Tak, Rhea Chakraborty had confirmed that she did not meet Sushant Singh Rajput after 8^th of June when he asked her to leave since his sister was arriving at his house. The late actor’s death has been the talk of the tinsel town for the past 3 months and multiple agencies have been looking into it while covering all the major angles.

A news report had said that Rhea Chakraborty met with Sushant Singh Rajput on the night of June 13. The report, needless to say, was lauded by Sushant’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti on her social media who demanded answers from Rhea. However, Sushant Singh Rajput’s roommate, Siddharth Pithani has reportedly confirmed that the late actor did not meet Rhea Chakraborty on June 13.

As for Rhea Chakraborty, the actress is under judicial custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau for procuring drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput.

Ali Abbas Zafar confirms that Katrina Kaif has begun physical training for their upcoming superhero project

Ali Abbas Zafar has currently shifted to Dubai with his team on a temporary basis to work on his upcoming two-part superhero film with Katrina Kaif in the lead. The Tiger Zinda Hai director announced a while ago that Katrina will be seen playing the protagonist in the films. With the lockdown, there are a lot of apprehensions and most of the celebrities are waiting to get back to work. However, it looks like 2021 comes bearing good news for Katrina Kaif as the actress will be seen stepping out of her comfort zone.

Ali Abbas Zafar, in an interview with a portal, confirmed that Katrina Kaif has already begun the physical training required for her role in the two-part films. According to Ali, if everything works out well then they will start shooting sometime in January 2021. Because Katrina has a few prior commitments that she needs to wrap up before working on these films, they had to push the shoot a little ahead. Ali Abbas Zafar and his team have stationed in Dubai for time being since they are working with an international team and it is difficult to travel in-and-out of India due to the COVID-19 situation.

On the work front, Ali Abbas Zafar will also be directing a web series called Tandav starring Saif Ali Khan and has produced the recently-released Khaali Peeli starring Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter.

Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: AIIMS rules out the murder angle

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death is currently being investigated by the Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI). As per the latest report by NDTV, AIIMS has reportedly ruled out the murder angle. The sources have told the news channel that AIIMS has dismissed the theories about strangling and poisoning.

The actor was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14 and the primary cause was stated as asphyxia or suffocation, in simpler terms. While his family was keen on the CBI investigating the case, the Supreme Court had granted the permission, and soon after recreating the scene of the incident in his Bandra apartment, and questioning the primary accused Rhea Chakraborty, the CBI had nullified the aspect of murder.

A team of four doctors from AIIMS was asked to study the forensics report of the autopsy and the viscera received by them was very less in quantity and degenerative. According to NDTV, "Sources said that AIIMS Panel has completed the examination and closed the file after giving conclusive medico-legal opinion in this case and the CBI is corroborating the report with their investigation."

It further reveals that according to circumstantial evidence, it was a case of suicide. The report further stated that CBI is likely to continue its probe into abetment to suicide as Sushant Singh Rajput's family had filed a case with Bihar Police against Rhea Chakraborty and others. "All aspects are still open in the probe if any evidence comes to light proving otherwise, Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (murder) will be added, but nothing has come up in 45 days of the probe," the sources told NDTV.

Ansh Bagri tests positive for COVID-19

Ansh Bagri, who was last seen in the show, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, is the latest television actor to have tested positive for COVID-19. He shares, “I fell sick around six days ago and immediately consulted my family doctor. He prescribed some medicines and also asked me to undergo the test for Coronavirus. On Tuesday, I got the test result, which came in positive. I feel weak, and have mild fever and diarrhoea.”

He adds, “I have been in isolation since the day I became unwell. I have been taking all precautions. Fortunately, I am in Mumbai, away from my mother and sister.”

On the work front, Ansh will soon be making his digital debut with rom-com Love Ka Panga opposite Asha Negi. He is playing a Jatt in the show, which will stream on Hungama Play. Well, Ansh tough times never last but tough people do.

Anurag Kashyap questioned for over 8 hours by Mumbai Police in sexual assault case

A few days after alleging sexual assault and filing a written complaint against Anurag Kashyap at the Versova Police Station in Mumbai, the filmmaker was summoned for questioning on Thursday in sexual assault charges filed against him by Payal Ghosh.

Anurag Kashyap, on October 1, arrived at the police station with two of his associates. At 6pm, after over eight hours of questioning, the filmmaker was seen leaving the police station with his lawyer.

The complaint filed by Payal Ghosh states the offense of wrongful restrain, wrongful confinement, rape, and outraging the modesty of woman under sections 376, 354, 341, 342 of IPC. She recorded her statement but an FIR is yet to be filed.

On September 20, Anurag Kashyap's lawyer released a statement that read, "My client, Anurag Kashyap, has been deeply pained by the false allegations of sexual misconduct that have recently surfaced against him. These allegations are completely false, malicious and dishonest. It is sad that a social movement as important as the #metoo movement has been co-opted by vested interests and reduced to a mere tool for character assassination. Fictitious allegations of this nature seriously undermine the movement and seek to unconscionably trade upon the pain and trauma of actual victims of sexual harassment and abuse. My client has been fully advised of his rights and remedies in law and intends to pursue them to the fullest extent - Priyanka Khimani."

Anurag Kashyap, on September 19, categorically denied all the allegations made against him.
