Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK to direct the Indian version of Priyanka Chopra Jonas starrer Citadel

It was recently announced that Priyanka Chopra Jonas will next be seen starring in Citadel with Richard Madden. The series will be produced by Avengers fame directors, Joe and Anthony Russo and will have versions from India, Mexico, and Italy. For the Indian version of the series, The Family Man fame directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have been roped in and the duo is ecstatic for the project.

Speaking on the same, Raj and DK have expressed how excited they were to get on board with this project. They had been in talks regarding this project for the past 6 months while The Family Man was still on the edit table. While Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be a part of the US series, Raj and DK confirmed that she will not be a part of the Indian version and this will have a pan-Indian cast that they will start looking for once the script is locked in by the end of this month. They have been given 90% creative freedom to explore different ideas in the plot.

This is just as big as it gets as the director duo is working on season two of The Family Man.

The film marks his first collaboration with Karan Johar and also his first film in the horror genre. The teaser of the film was released a few days ago and it definitely gave goosebumps to the audience but wait until you see the just-released trailer.

Yes, the trailer of Vicky’s film Bhoot Part 1 is finally out and it will definitely make your wait for the release of the film hard. Vicky’s character looks quite convincing as he goes on a search of what had happened on the ship – Sea-Bird that just sailed on the shore of Juhu beach Mumbai and gets trapped in it.

Vicky’s character is also seen dealing with hallucinations and we wonder what happens to his character next.

There is also a couple shown in the trailer who gets inside the boat just for fun. They too experience a few paranormal activities. From what we could understand by the trailer, we think Vicky will be possessed by the ghost in the ship who will trouble her to several extents.

Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship is a part of a three-film franchise. Bhumi Pednekar will essay also have a cameo role in the film. The film is said to be based on true events and is all set to release on February 21.

Bhoot: Part One – The Haunted Ship is helmed by Bhanu Pratap Singh who used to work as an assistant director with Shashank Khaitan for Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014). The film is produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, Shashank Khaitan and Apoorva Mehta.

Disha Patani opens up about her views on NEPOTISM, says it exists in every industry

From playing a small, albeit important role in M.S Dhoni – The Untold Story to being Salman Khan’s leading lady in Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai, Disha Patani has come a long way in the industry and feels blessed for all that she has received in the industry. The actress will soon be seen in her first romantic thriller film with Aditya Roy Kapur, Malang, where she will be seen playing a girl who likes to live on the edge. Disha recently opened up about her opinions on nepotism in a candid conversation.

She said that nepotism exists in every industry but it’s your work that speaks at the end of the day. Speaking of her fellow co-actresses who happen to be star kids, she says that there’s enough work for everyone in the industry since there aren’t many Friday solo releases. Elaborating further on the topic Disha says that one is lucky if the people like them and that cannot be bought or it doesn’t come by birth.

Comparing the industry with Army, Disha said that because her sister is in the Army, her kids in the future will have an upper hand when they choose to join forces. So, instead of being jealous one should focus on working their way up in the industry.

Disha was also asked about her alleged relationship with Tiger Shroff and how he does not acknowledge it despite being spotted together many times. Keeping mum about the same, Disha has as usual denied being in a relationship with Tiger.

The Mohit Suri directorial, Malang, also stars Anil Kapoor and Kumal Kemmu in pivotal roles and is slated to release on February 7. Along with Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai, Disha Patani will also be seen starring in KTina.

Rishi Kapoor hospitalized again, friend says it's a relapse

Rishi Kapoor, who returned to India in September 2019 after a 9-month treatment for cancer in the US, seems to have suffered a relapse.

We are shocked and saddened to report that that this very fine actor and one of the most popular figures in the entertainment industry, has been hospitalized in Delhi, apparently with a relapse.

A source very close to the family reveals, “Chintuji was to attend a family function in Delhi when he  suddenly had to be hospitalized. He was accompanied by his wife Neetu Kapoor. On hearing of his father’s health issue Rishi’s son Ranbir also flew into Delhi.”

While further news on the health relapse is awaited  anxious family and friends have begun to inquire if it is the “worse”. Sadly it seems to be.

In October 2018 Rishi Kapoor fell seriously ill. As his medical treatment in New York proceeded Rishi took the health setback very bravely, not willing to let the disease depress or defeat him. He didn’t want anyone except his wife Neetu with him during the treatment. But Ranbir insisted on being there. And when he insisted, so did Alia. Both took time off from the shooting  of Karan Johar’s production Bramhastra to be in New York.

Rishi’s elder sister Ritu Nanda bravely battled the disease for nine years before succumbing to it last month. Rishi Kapoor has always been a fighter. He will emerge a winner again.

IIFA 2020: International destinations like Seoul and Lisbon among others invite IIFA to their city

One of the most celebrated ceremonies - International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) celebrated its 20th edition last year. Now, according to sources, several international destinations like Seoul - South Korea, Istanbul- Turkey, Lisbon - Portugal and Cyprus are bidding to invite IIFA to their city to celebrate its 21st edition.

Last year, for the first time in its history, IIFA was held in Mumbai to celebrate its 20th Homecoming Edition. The show was hosted by Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurana. The nominees were announced on 28 August 2019.

IIFA is a set of awards presented annually by the International Indian Film Academy to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in Bollywood. The first awards were presented in 2000 at The Millennium Dome in London, United Kingdom. From then onwards, the awards are held at locations around the world signifying the international success of Bollywood. Since 2000, the event has expanded from a one-night event to a three-day celebration, hosting various events and activities relating to the Indian film industry.

Dulquer Salmaan plays a happy go lucky guy who believes in living life to the fullest.

Veteran actors Shobana and Suresh Gopi who were once one of the most sought after onscreen pairs, with their strong screen presence are a delight to watch in the trailer.

Salman Khan to make a film inspired by Indiana Jones?

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is currently filming for his Eid release Radhe. The actor has also announced the project Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali which will be released on Eid 2021. Now, according to reports, Salman Khan's production house is developing a three-part franchise based on Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones series.

Reportedly, the team at Salman Khan's films is using the popular action hero only as a reference point. The film will not be a direct adaptation but an inspiration of the original.

In Indiana Jones, Ford plays the role of a professor of archaeology and is an adventure seeker. As per reports, Salman Khan's character and profession will be altered in the film.

The report further stated that there will be a conscious effort to not repeat the trademark characteristics of Salman Khan's previous characters like Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg or Tiger from Tiger Zinda Hai. Salman Khan's character reportedly plays a dual life, but the daddy issues of the original character will be retained.

The film is likely to go on floors later this year depending on Salman Khan's schedule.

BRAHMASTRA: PART ONE to finally release on December 4 in 5 Indian languages

Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra after facing several delays has finally zeroed in on a release date. The film will now be releasing on December 4, 2020, in 5 Indian languages.

After all the delays, the cast of Brahmastra including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan ad director Ayan Mukerji shared a video wherein Ranbir Kapoor is telling Ayan to fix a date as everyone is making fun of him and his parents feel that he is out of work. Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan too agree with Ranbir and ask to fix a date.

In the past few weeks, Karan Johar was touring across the country and few locations abroad doing a recee for one of his most ambitious project- Takht. The filmmaker had announced the film in 2018.

Takht was reportedly slated to go on floors by September last year, but the expensive pre-production took some time. The film will now go on floors in March. The film revolves around the battle between Shah Jahan's eldest son Dara Shikoh and third son Aurangzeb, to be played by Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal respectively.

The film boasts of an envious ensemble cast, including Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor.

Shabana Azmi returns home from the hospital, expresses gratitude on Twitter

Actor Shabana Azmi, who was undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Kokilaben hospital after facing a road accident,  has been discharged and is back home healthy.  She took to Twitter to thank everyone for their prayers, and also thanked the hospital stuff for their utmost care and assistance.

About ten days back, a day after her husband Javed Akhtar celebrated his 75th birthday, the couple was traveling to Pune by road when their SUV rammed a truck on the Mumbai-Puna Expressway, leaving both Shabana and her driver injured. They were immediately rushed to MGM Hospital in Panvel, and were later shifted to Kokilaben Hospital. Javed Akhtar, however, remained unhurt after the accident.

Several Bollywood stars, including Tabu and Anil Kapoor, earlier visited Shabana at the hospital.

Chunky Panday reacts to Ananya Panday's nepotism remark and consequent trolling

Ananya Panday made her acting debut with Karan Johar's film Student of The Year 2. She followed this with the film Pati Patni Aur Woh which had a fairly good run at the box office. The actress, however, is often the victim of social media trolls. Recently, her take on nepotism and the struggle faced by father Chunky Panday led to massive trolling on social media. The young actress was trolled for saying that her father had it tough and never been featured on Karan Johar's famous celebrity chat show.

In an interview with a daily, Chunky Panday said that Ananya did not say anything derogatory. He clarified that she meant to sai that if her father were to recommend someone it would be himself first. Chunky further said that it would be wrong to say that Ananya is an actor because her father is one. He said that she would not have achieved anything exceptional if this was the case.

Adding to the nepotism debate, Chunky Panday said that one cannot recommend their child to someone as one will not spend crores just to make a film with a celebrity's child.

Talking about Ananya getting trolled for her Koffee With Karan reference, Chunky said that such chat shows always feature the best of the best in the industry. However, he said that one should not consider it as a barometer to one's success.

This is not the first time Ananya is being trolled for using her father's name. Earlier, the actress had shared a picture of her father in which he resembled Tony Stark. Chunky said that the two of them are fans of Tony Stark. The actor also made fun of the picture and sent her a message saying not to use his name as it always lands her in trouble.

Talking about the impact of trolls on Ananya, Chunky feels that it won't affect her. He said that his daughter is very young and might have made a few mistakes and will have the time to correct herself. The senior actor advices his daughter to take these trolls as compliments and to be happy that she is important enough to be discussed.

Meanwhile, on the work front Ananya Panday is currently shooting for Khaali Peeli along with Ishaan Khatter.

Confirmed! Sonakshi Sinha to make her digital debut with a crime thriller directed by Reema Kagti

Sonakshi Sinha had quite an eventful 2019, where she not only acted in four films but also judged a digital reality show. After the success of Dabangg 3, there was a lot of speculation around the actresses’ next project, and the audience were eagerly waiting for her to make an announcement.

Earlier today, Sonakshi Sinha announced that she will be making her acting debut in the digital space with a series which will stream on Amazon Prime. Priyanka Chopra reveals how she held her Grammys outfit together avoiding a wardrobe malfunction

Global icon Priyanka Chopra grabbed eyeballs at the recently concluded Grammys, where she made a bold statement with her outfit. The actress went for a Ralph and Russo plunging white gown for the event and was accompanied by husband Nick Jonas who performed at the ceremony along with his brothers.  While several lauded the actress for her attire, there was some criticism as well. 

However, what several people wondered on social media was as to how the actress kept the dress together and avoided a possible wardrobe malfunction. Days after the function in an interview with the US Weekly, the 37-year-old actress revealed how designers Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo made sure that there was no scope for a wardrobe malfunction at the awards. The actress revealed that it was a piece of tulle made of Priyanka's skin tone that held her dress together and wasn't even visible to the camera. She said that it worked as a netting which was not easily seen as it was of the colour of her skin. 

Priyanka Chopra said that the designers always keep wardrobe malfunctions in mind while making an outfit for her. The actress said that she does not take fashion risks unless she is super secure about her look.
