Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal is a RARE film in which the title card appears after nearly 55 minutes

The much-awaited film Animal has finally released today and has several unique and rare aspects. To begin with, it has a run time of 203 minutes (that is 3 hours and 23 minutes) and hence, is the longest Hindi film in a long time. Despite the long length and ‘A’ certificate, it’s buzz is high and is all set to take a flying off. Now, Bollywood Hungama has learnt that it has another unique distinction.

The title card in Animal is displayed nearly 55 minutes after the film begins. This is quite rare as usually, the title of the film is mentioned in the first 10 minutes. There have been films like Omkara (2006), Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl (2011) etc. in which the title appeared on screen between 20 and 30 minutes. Then there are some films in which the title comes only during the intermission point. No One Killed Jessica (2011) is a classic example in which instead of ‘Interval’ or ‘Intermission Point’, the film’s name is displayed, that too in the form of a newspaper headline.

Animal, however, stands out. The title appears at a significant juncture that too nearly 50 minutes before the intermission point. Nevertheless, it gives a nice touch to the film and goes well with the novelty value that the film offers.

Besides Ranbir Kapoor, Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna. It is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and is the story of an obsessed son avenging an assassination attempt on his father.

REVEALED: Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal ends with the promise of a sequel titled Animal Park

The much awaited film, Animal, has released today. Despite the ‘A’ rating, a run time of 203 minutes (that is, 3 hours and 23 minutes) and disturbing content, the film has generated tremendous excitement and is all set to take a flying start at the box office. The teaser and trailer has shown a lot and yet, there are several scenes and moments that are unpredictable and will leave the audience surprised and stunned.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that Animal ends with the promise of a sequel. A new conflict is introduced in the end. Interestingly, the title of the second part is also unveiled. The sequel to Animal has been titled Animal Park.

At 1:05 am today, the official social media handles of Animal posted a creative that said ‘Don’t miss the post credit scene of Animal’. The idea is probably to ensure the audience watches the memorable scene that indicates what the next installment will be all about.

Ranveer Singh on ‘scepticism’ towards Don 3 after Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan: “Continuing the legacy of two of our greatest superstars…”

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was honoured at the third edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia. Following his panel in Jeddah and meeting fans, he sat down for a conversation to talk about several topics including him taking on the role of Don in the Farhan Akhtar directorial. The previous versions were headlined by megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer is aware of the scepticism.

Speaking to Deadline, Ranveer Singh said, “I’m hoping to make Don my own and give it my spin, my interpretation. It is the handing over of the baton of one of the most loved and revered franchises of Hindi cinema. The significance of that is not lost on me. When the announcement was made, as expected, it came with its share of scepticism. But throughout the history of cinema, this has happened. Even as recently as perhaps when the Bond franchise changed hands and they announced Daniel Craig as the new Bond, it came with its fair share of scepticism. So, this is only natural.”

The 1978 version of Don was headlined by Amitabh Bachchan in a dual role as Don and Vijay. The film was written by Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar and helmed by Chandra Barot. Farhan Akhtar then directed by Don in 2007 with Shah Rukh Khan in the double role and a sequel in 2011. Talking about the third installment, Ranveer said “Taking the baton forward in this franchise and continuing the legacy of two of our greatest superstars – the significance of that is not lost on me. So, I will give it my best shot and you will see the very best of me and I will put my best foot forward for Don undoubtedly.”

Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh are aiming for Don 3 for 2025. Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer Singh will be seen in Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe Singham Again alongside Deepika Padukone. He has reportedly signed Baiju Bawra with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Akshay Kumar begins filming for Karan Johar's next titled The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair: Report

Actor Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for Karan Johar's upcoming biopic The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair. The film is based on the life of C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and former President of the Indian National Congress. In addition to this, he also fought for the truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Akshay Kumar will play the role of C Sankaran Nair, while Ananya Panday and R Madhavan also star in the film.  

Reportedly, Ananya and Akshay were recently spotted at IIT Roorkee. In a report by Zoom, a source has been quoted saying, “This schedule will last for about 20 days at least.” And then? “Then, the following schedule is in Alibag.” 

Speaking of the film, it is said that it is an adaptation of the book The Case That Shook The Empire, written by Nair’s great-grandson Raghu Palat and his wife Pushpa Palat. The book chronicles Nair’s historic legal battle against Michael Francis O’Dwyer, the then Lt Governor of Punjab and one of the key planners of the brutal attack on unarmed civilians in 1919.

Talking about Akshay, he was last seen in Mission Raniganj, which was released in October this year. The flick was based on Jaswant Singh Gill, a mining engineer from IIT Dhanbad who rescued 65 trapped miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989. Meanwhile, Karan Johar’s last directorial project was, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Currently, he is seen hosting the 8th season of his popular celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan.

BREAKING: Yash Raj Films delays Tiger vs Pathaan; Shah Rukh Khan-Salman Khan starrer will go on floors only in 2025 and release in 2026

Things definitely didn't shape up as well as expected for Aditya Chopra with the Salman Khan led Tiger 3. While the content got mixed feedback from the audience, the industry is also buzzing with chatter around how a conventional Friday release would have benefited the business by pushing the film to Tiger Zinda Hai number. It's Salman Khan's fan following and the franchise value that has taken the film to a lifetime collection of around Rs. 280 crores, getting it a clean hit tag.

And now, Bollywood Hungama has got news that would create a stir in the industry and shock waves on the social media. Highly placed sources have confirmed that Aditya Chopra has delayed Tiger vs Pathaan shoot. "Tiger vs Pathaan was to start in March 2024, but Aditya Chopra has decided to personally take time to rework on the script and serve the audience with better content. Once Siddharth Anand is done with Fighter post production, Adi will sit down with his director to improve the version of what has been written," a trade source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source added that Aditya Chopra wants to put all his focus on the Tiger vs Pathaan script as the idea is to reintroduce Tiger to the audience at its ferocious best. "Tiger is the most senior spy of the YRF Universe and the idea is to present it in a way that takes audiences on a ride. Aditya Chopra knows that the expectations will be off the roof in the audience for the face off of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in Tiger vs Pathaan. There is no room for compromise and all the energies are invested to better the film," the trade source added.

Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan also had a discussion with Aditya Chopra recently, and conveyed his thoughts on the potential to improve the writing of Tiger vs Pathaan. "Shah Rukh considers the YRF Universe to be close to his heart as Pathaan played a role in introducing his action image. He told Adi that he stands by his side and will be ready to shoot the film whenever Adi is ready with the script. Salman is also on the same page, and hence green lit the shoot timelines for Karan Johar's film from February 2024. Shah Rukh Khan in the meantime will be shooting for The King from January."

It's a consensual decision taken by the top 3 industry giants, in an attempt to provide a world class cinematic experience to their audiences. Tiger vs Pathaan will now go on floors in 2025 and is likely to release in the year 2026.

Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions to clash for the FIRST time ever - Hrithik Roshan's War 2 V/s Kartik Aaryan's untitled next

On November 22, on Kartik Aaryan's birthday, the actor announced that he had signed Karan Johar's upcoming film. The announcement also mentioned that the grand flick will release in cinemas on Independence Day 2025. Exactly a week later, on November 29, news came in that Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR starrer War 2 will also release on Independence Day in 2025.

Interestingly, if this clash takes place, it'll mean that it would be the first time that the films of Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions would release on the same day. Both the reputed producers are quite close, as is common knowledge. Karan started his career in films by assisting on Aditya's debut film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995). Karan Johar, in multiple interviews, has spoken highly of Aditya Chopra and his family. And as expected, they have always ensured that they don't release their films on the same day, presumably to not cut into the business of each other.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror in February 2014, Karan Johar spoke highly of Aditya Chopra, Yash Chopra and superstar Shah Rukh Khan, “They (Aditya, Yash, SRK) conceived, conceptualized and envisioned this company. Tomorrow if I am asked to wipe the floors of Red Chillies (Shah Rukh Khan’s production house) and Yash Raj, I will do so. And I know if I ever need SRK and Adi, they will be there for me.”

As a result, it'll be interesting to see the clash between War 2 and Kartik Aaryan's untitled next on August 15, 2025, if it does take place, as planned.

August 15, 2025 is obviously a high-in-demand date as a national holiday, Independence Day, falls on that day. Janmashtami, meanwhile, will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16. Usually, no big film releases a week after Independence Day. Hence, the August 15 release will also benefit from the Ganesh Chaturthi holiday on Wednesday, August 27, in the second week.

CBFC Corruption Case: Vishal visits CBI office in Mumbai for questioning; says, “Never ever thought in my life I will…”

In a significant development in the ongoing CBI investigation into the alleged corruption at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Mumbai office, Tamil actor Vishal visited the CBI office on Tuesday to provide his statement. The actor had earlier accused CBFC officials of demanding a bribe for granting censor certification for the Hindi version of his film, Mark Antony.

Vishal took to social media to share his experience at the CBI office, describing it as a "new experience" and expressing his satisfaction with the way the investigation is being conducted. "Was a complete new experience and am glad the way the enquiry is being conducted," he tweeted.

The actor's visit to the CBI office comes amidst growing scrutiny of the CBFC, with several filmmakers alleging that they have been subjected to corruption and harassment by the board's officials.

Vishal's case has gained particular attention due to the actor's public stance against corruption. He has been vocal in his criticism of the CBFC and has pledged to fight against corruption. The CBI investigation is expected to shed light on the extent of corruption within the CBFC and bring those responsible to justice. 

In the meantime, Vishal continues to focus on his acting career, with two films in the pipeline - Vishal 34 and Thupparaivaalan 2.

Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR-led War 2 set for Independence Day 2025 weekend; Ayan Mukerji directorial to release on August 14

With Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR on board to face off against each other in Ayan Mukerji's War 2, the excitement is on another level with two superstars coming together in YRF Spy Universe. Hrithik’s cameo in Tiger 3 also added to the excitement. While the first schedule was wrapped in Spain in October 2023, the second schedule will likely be shot the same way in Abu Dhabi. It was earlier reported Hrithik and Jr. NTR will begin their shoots in February 2024. Now, the makers have announced the project along with the release date.

YRF aka Yash Raj Films has announced War 2 is set for Independence Day 2025 weekend. The film is set to release on the big screen on August 14, 2025. Earlier, reports suggested that the makers were opting for Republic Day 2025 weekend for the release of the film.

Talking about the shoot for the film, as per a report in Mid-Day, a source earlier said, “NTR Jr is currently shooting for his 30th film, directed by Koratala Siva, and will then begin his first schedule for War 2. Aditya Chopra and Ayan have planned a massive action entry shot for him in the film. Shooting for the portions involving Hrithik and him will commence in February in Mumbai over a month-long schedule. The dramatic portions will be canned first, and will be followed with action sequences.”

Kiara Advani will be the leading lady in this installment. This will mark the sixth film in the YRF Spy Universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal becomes fourth Indian film to release in Bangladesh: Reports

Actors Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna's upcoming film Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is all set to release this week. With only a few days left for the release of the movie on the big screen, it is being reported that Animal is set to release in Bangladesh.

For unversed, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan paved the way for Hindi films to release in the theatres in Bangladesh. This was followed by SRK’s Jawan and Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo. Now, Ranbir’s Animal has become the fourth Indian movie in history to be released in theatres. It also apparently becomes the second movie after Jawan to be released on the same day as the rest of the world.

In a recent conversation with Variety, Ranbir said, "My character in Animal shares some traits with Sandeep Reddy Vanga's protagonists. He is indeed tough and uncompromising in certain aspects," Ranbir said. "But he is also multi-dimensional and complex, with moments of vulnerability and internal conflict that make him more relatable and human."

"I was really drawn to the script of Animal," he explained. "It's a gripping and intense film that delves into the depths of human emotions and relationships. It explores the complexities of life and the choices we make, with a narrative that keeps you on the edge of your seat."

Javed Akhtar to walk down memory lane with ‘Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon’, a nostalgic evening of music and stories

On December 29, 2023, Padma Bhushan awardee, legendary screenwriter, lyricist and celebrated poet Javed Akhtar will host ‘Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon’, an evening brimming with unheard stories behind famous songs and songs that led to unforgettable stories. Suhana Khan turns singer for her debut film The Archies; croons ‘Jab Tum Na Theen’: “Please listen with kindness”

Suhana Khan, daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, is all set to make her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. She brings Veronica Lodge to life in Hindi adaptation of the comic. Ahead of the movie’s release, the makers launched the music album of the film on November 26. And turns out, along with her acting debut, Suhana has also crooned a song for the film.

Suhana Khan announced that she made her singing debut with The Archies. Along with her co-star Dot, who is a singer, Suhana has crooned the song ‘Jab Tum Na Theen’. Sharing the news, she wrote on Instagram, “I sang my first song!! Thank you @zoieakhtar & @shankar.mahadevan for being so patient with me. Please listen with kindness.”

The Archies will have as many as 16 songs as the musical adaptation gears up for the release. The film’s ensemble cast includes Dot (Aditi), Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda along with the filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and music team, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Ankur Tewari, Tejas and Shivam Mahadevan unveiled the 16-song album amidst the huge crowd from the industry, media, and influencers on November 26.

The gala event kicked off with a tete-a-tete with Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and the music team Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Ankur Tewari. The evening witnessed the cast dancing to the electrifying tunes of ‘Va Va Voom’. Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor danced to the tunes of ‘Asymmetrical’ sung by DOT. Additionally, Ankur Tewari and Tejas gave a smashing performance and had the audience cheering in and crooning along to ‘Choona Aasman’ and ‘Sunoh’, ensuring that the evening became a memorable musical experience for everyone in attendance. The event culminated with the entire cast singing to 'Plum Pudding'. Their infectious energy and stage presence left the audience eager for more, further increasing the excitement for the film. Videos of these performances soon hit the internet, teasing fans with a glimpse of the musical extravaganza. The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the song 'Dhishoom Dhishoom', featuring Dot, Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor dancing on roller skates opened to enthralling responses from everyone present.

The album, a 16-track masterpiece, includes ‘Sunoh,’ ‘Va Va Voom’ and ‘In Raahon Mein,’ along with other newly released songs such as ‘Dear Diary,’ ‘Jab Tum Na Theen,’ ‘Dhishoom Dhishoom’, ‘Lonely July,’ ‘Everything is Politics,’ ‘Plum Pudding,’ ‘Yeh Saari Aawazein,’ ‘Choona Aasmaan,’ and ‘Asymmetrical,’ among others.

Director Zoya Akhtar took a moment to share insights into the film’s musical journey. She said, “We are super excited to finally drop the entire album for our audiences. The film is a musical, and the album is unique given the comic book narrative, the 60’s era and the Young adult tone. Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Ankur Tewari, Dot, my father, Arijit Singh and Tejas on one album is more than I could have dreamed of. I wanted an album that makes me smile. This one does and I hope the listeners do too.”

The talented trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, also spoke about their experience of creating music for the film saying, “With The Archies music, we’ve aimed to create something refreshing for the audiences. The ‘60s music adds a unique vibe, complemented by a talented team of musicians and lyricists. Our personal favourite has to be ‘Plum Pudding’ and we’re excited to see how audiences respond to it and our other songs.”

Composer, Singer, lyricist Ankur Tewar also shared his excitement about the full album release saying, “Working on this album has been an incredibly exciting and collaborative process. I had a blast creating music with a ’60s vibe and collaborating with talented artists spanning generations like Javed Akhtar Sir, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy and Dot. As musicians, working with Zoya Akhtar was an enriching experience, her clear vision made the entire process quite seamless.”

This live-action musical transports viewers on an enchanting journey back to the captivating era of the 1960s, set in the fictional hill town of Riverdale. The film is produced by Netflix India, Tiger Baby, Archie Comics and Graphic India.

Rashmika Mandanna says it is scary to see deepfake videos: “They have been around for a while and we’ve normalised them but it isn’t okay”

Rashmika Mandanna has been promoting her upcoming film Animal and recently opened up about Deepfake videos. A widely circulated video of the actress entering an elevator was an artificial intelligence (AI) deepfake video where her face was morphed into the face of a social media content creator. Following the virality of the video, Rashmika had released a statement and raised concerns. Now, she has said that deepfakes are ‘scary’ and has urged women to use their platform to speak up.

As quoted by Hindustan Times, at a press event in Hyderabad, Rashmika said, “Deepfakes have been around for a while and we’ve normalised them but it isn’t okay. I always wondered who would even care if I chose to speak up and point out that it isn’t okay. So, I’m glad people from across the film industries have supported me. I understand now how important it is to speak up. I want to urge women to take the help they need when it happens.”

Her words come in right after a viral video of Alia Bhatt’s face morphed onto someone is circulating on social media. Earlier, deepfakes of Kajol and Katrina Kaif have also surfaced on the internet.

Earlier in November 2023, Rashmika took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her feelings, stating, “I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused.”

She continued, “Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well-wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can’t imagine how could I ever tackle this. We need to address this as a community and with urgency before more of us are affected by such identity theft.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rashmika Mandanna is set for her next release. Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios and Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures have backed Animal. The film is releasing on 1st December 2023. Fashion designer Rohit Bal in critical condition and on ventilator support, admitted to Medanta Hospital: Report

Indian fashion designer Rohit Bal is reportedly in critical condition and has been on ventilator support in the Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon. As per several reports, the designer has pre-existing cardiac condition and also suffered from alcohol abuse and other health problems.

As per a report in HT City, a close friend of Rohit Bal said, “Bal was rushed to the hospital by model Suraj Dhalia three days ago. His heart was sinking and he was unconscious. His pacemaker gave seven shocks. He was initially taken to Moolchand and when his condition deteriorated, he was rushed to Medanta.”

"Gudda is a fighter but his illness has taken a serious toll on him. He became extremely weak over the last few months. We are praying for him," another close friend said.

Rohit Bal has been in and out of hospital for health issues in the last few months. He suffered a massive heart attack in 2010. The 62-year-old has also been suffering from pancreatitis for several years. As per reports, his old friend Arjun Rampal visited him in the hospital. “Gudda is in very bad shape. He was almost dead in November. The doctors had to flush out alcohol and sleeping pills from his system when his friends took him to the hospital,” a friend had opened up about his condition to HT City.

Rohit Bal has been a prominent name in the fashion world. At the Indian Fashion Awards in 2006, he won the Designer of the Year. Apart from fashion, he has been involved in the business side of fashion, managing his brand and expanding his presence in the industry. Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli to join Animal pre-release event as “Chief guests”

Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film Animal, also their first on-screen collaboration, is all set to debut on the big screen soon. After the trailer launch, the team Animal is now gearing up for a grand pre-release event in Hyderabad. Along with the team, two of the most loved South Indian stars are also going to attend the event. Yes! Popular actor Mahesh Babu and renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli will be at the event as the “chief guests.” 

Making the official announcement of the same, T-Series, the production banner behind Animal, took to its social media handle and shared 2 posts. “The Sovereign…the one who always reigns supremely, Superstar @urstrulymahesh is attending as the Chief Guest,” read an excerpt for the post dedicated to Mahesh Babu. Meanwhile, the captions for the post dedicated to SS Rajamouli read, “Some might roar in streets, some might roar in certain locations, some might roar in a few places, but this man can ROAR across the globe with sheer brilliance.”

With that being said, it is worth mentioning here that recently, the cast of Animal, including Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol, along with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and producer Bhushan Kumar held an event in Bangalore. 

Speaking of the film, besides the above-mentioned name, the film also stars Anil Kapoor. During the trailer launch event in Delhi, Ranbir addressed the absence of the veteran star and stated that due to prior commitments in Dubai, Anil had to miss the promotional events of their film. It is slated to release on December 1, clashing with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar.

Albert Kabo Lepcha wins the title of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2023

After 3 months of being on the quest of perfecting their sur-taal through endless riyaaz and delivering some performances, Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2023 comes to an end. Throughout the season, viewers have watched the judges - Himesh Reshammiya, Anu Malik, and Neeti Mohan guide these budding singing sensations, while Aditya Naryan entertained one and all as the show's host. And now, racing ahead of all the contestants, we have Albert Kabo Lepcha as the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa amidst much fanfare and celebrations. On the other hand, finalists Nishtha Sharma and Ranita Banerjee were announced as the first and second runners-up respectively.

Speaking of the finale episode, it commenced with a power-packed performance by the top five finalists of the show - Sonia Gazmer, Sneha Bhattacharya, Nishtha Sharma, Albert Kabo Lepcha and Ranita Banerjee which left everyone spellbound. The episode was joined by the evergreen Govinda, his wife Sunita Ahuja, and veteran actress Aruna Irani. Not just that, the episode was co-hosted by Haarsh Limbachiyaa alongside Aditya Narayan.

Speaking of receiving the covered Sa Re Ga Ma 2023 trophy, Albert said, “This is a dream come true for me! Honestly, the competition was tough as all the contestants of the season were very talented, and I really feel grateful that I got to share the stage with them. My journey on the show has been a great learning experience and I would like to thank all my mentors and judges who have constantly supported me and helped me scale my potential as a singer. I even got the chance to record and release my own single, composed by the iconic Vivek kar; I received loads of love for that. I am definitely taking a bundle of memories along with me and looking forward to my new singing journey ahead. Thank you to each and every person for making this a beautiful experience.”

Himesh Reshammiya added, “First of all I would like to congratulate Albert, he has been consistent in giving his best throughout the season and has always exceeded expectations. He has surprised us week after week and always strived for perfection. Moreover, this time Sa Re Ga Ma Pa gave an amazing opportunity to all the contestants to release their original singles, which has certainly kickstarted their musical journey in the entertainment industry. Lastly, I would like to say all the best to all the contestants as they’ve started their careers and I am sure all of them will reach great heights in the future.”

Neeti Mohan continued, “According to me, all the top 5 are winners of this season, but of course, we can only have one winner. Albert’s win is very well deserved. I have loved and enjoyed his performances throughout the season, and I believe he is a really versatile singer with the potential to make his career in the industry. I am glad that I was able to witness such amazing talent perform in front of me. I wish the best for all the contestants; I am sure they all will work hard to fulfill their dreams in the music industry.”

Anu Malik also mentioned, “I had a great experience working on this show and I would like to say ‘Congratulations Albert, I am so proud of you’.. From his first performance till today, I am glad that his hard work has finally paid off. I must say that this season has been incredible, and every contestant has left us floored by their amazing talent. Apart from that, during the episode, viewers got to watch the legendary actor Govinda in his element, dancing to the song 'Oo Haseena Zulfowaali' along with the judge - Neeti Mohan. He also set the stage on fire with his performance to the song 'Chadti Jawaani' with the beautiful guest Aruna Irani. Not just that!  Govinda also sang a beautiful song - 'Sathiya Nahi Jana Ke Jee Na Lage' for his beloved wife – Sunita.

EXCLUSIVE: Suneel Darshan to commence shooting for Andaaz 2 from November 28; to launch three newcomers

Bollywood industry always had a soft spot for sequels. The blockbuster success of Gadar 2 (2023) encouraged filmmakers to make sequels of films released a couple of decades ago. Some months ago, Bollywood Hungama broke the news that Dharmesh Darshan is in talks to direct Dhadkan 2. And now, we bring to you another breaking news, about his brother Suneel Darshan. He’s all set to begin the shoot to the sequel of his hit film, Andaaz (2003).

Suneel Darshan exclusively told Bollywood Hungama, “20 years after the release of 2003’s hit Andaaz, which launched then newcomers Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra opposite Akshay Kumar, I am about to commence the filming of Andaaz 2. The shoot begins from tomorrow.”

Suneel Darshan further said, “Andaaz 2 will feature 3 new talents in leading roles with original music by Nadeem of Nadeem-Shravan fame and lyrics by Sameer and Nadeem.” The Shree Krishna International presentation is written, produced & directed by Suneel Darshan.

Suneel Darshan, however, refused to divulge the names of the newcomers and assured that he’ll announce the star cast soon.

Andaaz, directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Suneel Darshan, was a love triangle between a man and two women. The film was a rage thanks to the songs, touching moments and sizzling chemistry between the actors. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama in May 2022, Suneel Darshan said, “Several cinemas wanted to shut down over the course of the (2003) strike. We had distributed the film ourselves and I personally called the theatre owners and requested to keep their cinemas going. I assured them that they’ll benefit from Andaaz as I had that faith in the product. And thankfully, the film became a rage in the single screens.”

Bigg Boss 17: Vicky Jain’s mother slams Ankita Lokhande for mistreating her son

Bigg Boss 17 has been showcasing some high-voltage drama of late, especially among couples Vicky Jain and Ankita Lokhande as well as Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma.  The actors have been facing massive showdowns with their partners, especially the fights between Vicky and Ankita raised concerns among other contestants and the host Salman Khan. Owing to the same, the mothers of Vicky and Ankita recently visited the Bigg Boss house to sort out the differences between them. But Jain’s mother accused Ankita for mistreating him of late, which left them teary-eyed.

Vicky Jain’s mother revealed that the couple never fought at home and even lashed out at Ankita Lokhande for throwing a chappal at her husband. Furthermore, she also mentioned to her that she is not taking care of her son. Vicky’s mother said, “Tumhari ladai ghar mein kabhi nahi hui. Batao, Ankita paer maar rahi hai, chappal phekk rahi hai (You guys never fought at home. Tell me, Ankita is kicking him and throwing chappal at him).” Her presence and her support for her son Vicky left the latter teary-eyed and when Ankita consoled them saying that she is there to take care of him, “Main hoon na, main isko sambhal lugi”, Vicky’s mother slammed her again saying, “Nahi, nahi sambhal rahi ho (No, you are not taking care of him)”.

Fans of Ankita Lokhande were left quite upset with this kind of accusations being directed towards their favourite star and came in support of the Manikarnika actress. One of the social media users commented on it saying, “Ankita ki saas tou usko hi guilt trip kr rhi hai???????? jesi maa waisa beta”. Yet another one added, “Wait a minute aunty ji..... Vicky ro rha hai ,wo aapko dikh rha hai,..lekin Ankita v roti hai....vicky ki wajh se wo aapko nhi dikhta ....kya baat hai yrr??......saas saas hoti hai..... hence proved”. Some of them even accused the Jain family to be toxic as they wrote, “What nonsense.yeh Vicky to apni maa pe gaya hai..uski maa atei ankita ko pura blame kar diya ki Hume laga tum samwaal logi..kyuki Bhai wo apke beta baby sitter hai kya????????? Lawrence Bishnoi claims responsibility for gunfire at Gippy Grewal's residence; says, “This message also extends to Salman Khan”

Gunshots reverberated through the residence of Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal on Saturday, with notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claiming responsibility for the brazen attack. The startling revelation unfolded on Facebook, where a post under the name of Lawrence Bishnoi detailed the orchestrated violence in the White Rock area of Vancouver, Canada.

The message ominously warned Gippy Grewal that his close association with Bollywood actor Salman Khan wouldn't serve as a shield. It read, “Your close ties with Salman Khan won't protect you. It's time for your 'brother' to step up and defend you. This message also extends to Salman Khan – don't fool yourself into thinking Dawood Ibrahim can safeguard you from our reach.”

The post continued to address Gippy Grewal directly, accusing him of insincere condolences following the demise of Sidhu Moose Wala. He added, “No one can save you. Your ostentatious response to Sidhu Moose Wala's death didn't go unnoticed. You were well aware of his character and his criminal connections.”

The post concluded with a chilling warning, saying, “Till the time Vicky Middhukhera was alive you would always hover around, and later, you mourned Sidhu more. You’re also now on our radar, and you will now witness what deceiving means. This was just a trailer. The whole film will be released soon. Run away to any country but remember death doesn’t require any visa, it would come where it has to.”

Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster, faces a litany of criminal charges, including murder and extortion. Known for his global criminal network, Bishnoi is reportedly linked to around 700 shooters across the world.

BREAKING: 2.41 minute long trailer of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dunki passed by CBFC with U/A certificate

The month of December is expected to be an exciting one for moviegoers. Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna has already created a rage. This will be followed by Dunki, which marks the first collaboration between superstar Shah Rukh Khan and blockbuster director Rajkumar Hirani. Bollywood Hungama has been at the forefront in giving news about the censor process of the assets of Dunki. We now bring to you another exciting update.

The theatrical trailer of Dunki was submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Yesterday, that is, November 25, the trailer was cleared by the Censors with a U/A certificate. The length of the trailer, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 2 minute 41 seconds.

Interestingly, the name of the applicant and producer on the certificate is Sahil Chandramohan Khosla. As per sources, he’s a part of Rajkumar Hirani Films, which has also produced the film. The development is significant as instead of Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, it is Rajkumar Hirani’s production house that completed the censor process.

Earlier, the makers of Dunki got the certification done of as many as 6 teasers. The first teaser was released on November 2 followed by the song ‘Lutt Putt Gaya’ on November 22. It now remains to be seen whether the makers of Dunki will unveil the remaining five teasers or will they directly launch the theatrical trailer.

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani. It arrives in cinemas on December 21, 2023.

The source said, “The campaign kicks off with a teaser launch in the first week of December. Both Sid and Hrithik are very particular on what’s their first communication and they have both zeroed in on an asset that could become the talk of the town.”

The highlight of the film campaign will be the Music album. It has been strategized to align with the social calendar of December and January. In fact, the party season of December will kick off with Fighter.”

The opening credits of Alizeh Agnihotri’s debut film Farrey mentions Karan Johar for a special thanks. On probing a bit, I discovered that Karan played a hand in putting the project together, although he had nothing to do with it directly.

Says Alizeh’s father Atul Agnihotri who is the co-producer of the film, “When we decided to remake the Thai film Bad Genius, we were looking for someone to direct Farrey. Karan connected us to Soumendra Padhi.”

Padhi has earlier directed the highly acclaimed Manoj Bajpai starrer Budhia Singh: Born To Run which was about the child prodigy Budhia Singh who 48 marathons at a tender age of 5, He went on to attain unprecedented amounts of success when he closed a distance of 65 kms from Puri to Bhubaneshwar in a span of 7 hours and 2 minutes alone!

Amitabh Bachchan gifts his bungalow ‘Prateeksha’ worth Rs. 50 crore to daughter Shweta Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan is not just a megastar but also a doting father. In his blogs and writings, the actor often mentions and expresses his love for his children and grandchildren. In a unique gesture of love, the father has now presented a precious gift to his daughter Shweta Bachchan. Reports suggest that the actor presented the popular bungalow named ‘Prateeksha’ to his daughter, which is located in one of the plush localities of suburban Mumbai.

As per a Moneycontrol report, the said property is located in the prime area of Juhu in Mumbai as  a part of Vithal Nagar Cooperative Housing Society Ltd, on two plots of size 890.47 sq m and 674 sq m. It is said that the bungalow was presented to Shweta Bachchan in the form of a gift deed which was signed on November 8, with a stamp duty of Rs. 50.65 lakhs was paid for the said property. According to these reports, the documents revealed that while Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan are the donors, the donee’s name was revealed to be Shweta Nanda. For the unversed, Prateeksha is one of the bungalows that is very close to Amitabh Bachchan’s heart since it was his first bungalow, and it also had his mother Teji Bachchan and father Harivansh Rai Bachchan staying with him.

Speaking of Shweta Bachchan, she has always stayed away from films and is married to business tycoon Nikhil Nanda. She has two kids, Navya Naveli Nanda who has decided to follow the footsteps of her father and has become an entrepreneur as well as Agastya Nanda, who will be making his Bollywood debut with the Zoya Akhtar film The Archies.

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan is still very active in the film circuit. He is currently gearing up for the release of the magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD, co-starring Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Disha Patani, among others. Directed by Nag Ashwin, it is slated for release next year.

Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor starrer Bawaal to have a world television premiere on November 25

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor came together for the first time to win hearts in the romantic drama Bawaal, directed by Dangal fame filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari. While the film released directly on OTT, on Amazon Prime Video, we hear that the makers are now keen on reaching the television audience. The world television premiere of the entertainer is all set to be held on Saturday, November 25, on Zee Cinema at 8 pm.

For the unversed, Bawaal, revolves around an image-conscious narcissist History professor who gets married to a beautiful, intelligent but epileptic Nisha. The couple set out on an unique journey to learn about World War II but ended up discovering a new perspective and view on interpersonal conflicts, as they cover both life and history lessons along the way.

Ahead of the world television premiere Director Nitesh Tiwari opened up about the film and said, "My philosophies are based on my own experiences for so many years. I have started believing very strongly that whatever happens, happens for the best. With all my films, I always try to keep my ideologies intact, ideologies that become the guiding light of the project. One of the strongest human feelings for me is ‘empathy’. That is my strongest take away from the film and I hope audiences take that away too when they watch the film on Zee Cinema.”

Speaking further about his stars, Nitesh added, “And to tell you the truth, when Bawaal came along, I only had Varun and Janhvi in mind, I’ve always felt that they have the ability to experiment and willingness to explore concepts."

Bawaal released on July 21 on Prime Video. And now, audiences can mark their calendars for Saturday November 25, 8pm, as they will get to witness this Bawaal only on Zee Cinema.

Jubin Nautiyal to star and sing in the film Tum Aaye Ho Toh with Shreya Chaudhry

Singer Jubin Nautiyal is set to showcase his versatility by featuring in the upcoming short film Tum Aaye Ho Toh, a cinematic musical, which will not only see him as the soulful voice behind the melodies but also as the lead actor. Rajkumar Hirani turns the most economical director for Shah Rukh Khan; Dunki BUDGET REVEALED

The countdown for the release of the big Christmas 2023 release, the Rajkumar Hirani-directed Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal has begun. The makers are all gearing up to introduce the audiences to the world of this social dramedy before it hits the big screen on December 21, 2023. Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learnt that Dunki is among the least expensive films of SRK's career and it's all thanks to the taunt planning of Rajkumar Hirani and the team.

According to sources close to the development, the cost of production for Dunki excluding the remuneration of SRK and Rajkumar Hirani is merely Rs. 90 crores. "Rajkumar Hirani is a writer, director, and editor and has a very clear vision of what he needs to shoot and how. He never wastes resources and goes ahead with proper planning of the shooting schedule. He pulled off the Dunki shoot in merely 70 days," a source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama.

The budget of Dunki in terms of production cost excluding all talent fees is Rs. 90 crores, and the makers are all ready to spend around Rs. 30 to 35 crores on print and publicity. "It's a clash and hence more amount will be spent to market the film. The overall cost of production including PnA is in the range of Rs. 125 to 130 crores." the source added. The fees of talents are not included in the budget. If we take the acting fees of the ensemble cast barring SRK into the picture, the budget could be around Rs. 150 crores.

The makers have already pre-sold the satellite, digital and theatrical rights for a hefty sum and all the profits will be shared by Shah Rukh Khan, and Rajkumar Hirani at a pre-decided ratio, but it is assured that Dunki is set to be one of the biggest money spinners of Indian Cinema even without a single show rolling out due to the massive pre-release deals and controlled budgets. The Rajkumar Hirani film is all headed to emerge as a blockbuster.

EXCLUSIVE: The Vaccine War OTT rights sold at Rs. 35 crores

Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War released earlier this year to favourable reviews. The movie was based during the deadly COVID-19 pandemic. It told the story of a group of scientists and their struggle to make India’s own Coronavirus vaccine while battling a lot of professional and personal obstacles.

The Vaccine War starred Nana Pataker in the role of the head of the scientists and it also starred Pallavi Joshi, Girika Oak, Sapthami Gowda, Nivedita Bhattacharya, etc. The film also featured Raima Sen as the evil journalist who wanted the mission to fail.

There has been demand from moviegoers to watch The Vaccine War on OTT, especially those who missed it during its theatrical run. It has now come to light that the movie will mostly be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar platform. Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learnt that the rights of the film have been sold to the OTT platform for a whopping Rs. 35 crores.

The Vaccine War is the third film for Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri in the Files trilogy. The Tashkent Files, which released in 2019, threw light on the sudden death of India’s former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. He followed it up with The Kashmir Files in 2022, which showed the persecution of the Kashmiri Pandits from the valley of Jammu and Kashmir in the earlier 1990s.

Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR to commence War 2 shoot in February 2024; second schedule to begin in December 2023 with stunt doubles: Report

With Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR starring in War 2, the excitement is on another level with two superstars coming together to face off each other in YRF Spy Universe. Hrithik’s cameo in Tiger 3 also added to the excitement, which is being helmed by Ayan Mukerji. While the first schedule was wrapped in Spain in October 2023 with stunt doubles, the second schedule will likely be shot the same way in Abu Dhabi. Hrithik and Jr. NTR will begin their shoots in February 2024.

As per a report in Mid-Day, a source said, “NTR Jr is currently shooting for his 30th film, directed by Koratala Siva, and will then begin his first schedule for War 2. Aditya Chopra and Ayan have planned a massive action entry shot for him in the film. Shooting for the portions involving Hrithik and him will commence in February in Mumbai over a month-long schedule. The dramatic portions will be canned first, and will be followed with action sequences.”

The source added, “Like he did for the Spain leg, he is likely to use stunt doubles for the actors in Abu Dhabi too for the scenes that are to be filmed in the absence of the main cast members. Ayan shot high-octane car chase sequences in Spain over two weeks.”

Back in October 2023, Bollywood Hungama reported that Ayan Mukerji had completed the first schedule with stunt doubles. The source said, “It's a new technique of shooting for feature films. The action blocks of a lot of films in today's time are shot without the involvement of lead actors. Soon after, the faces of the body double are replaced using the body swap technology. The same was used for Pathaan as well for the action blocks shot in Dubai and Russia. Hrithik and NTR Jr. will start shooting for War only in December.”

The Spain schedule lasted for around 12 days, and Ayan was strict to get a perfect stunt double on board the film. “He auditioned over 50 talents each for both Hrithik and NTR Jr. before getting an ideal body type on board. The stunt double had multiple test shoots with Hrithik and NTR Jr. in Mumbai and Hyderabad before flying off to Spain,” the source added.

AR Rahman's daughter Khatija Rahman to make her international debut as a music director with the UK-India co-production Lioness

Lioness, the first official UK-India co-production film by writer-director Kajri Babbar, revealed its first poster at the IFFI Film Bazaar. The event was attended by Mr. Prithul Kumar, Joint Secretary Films and NFDC; Agnieszka Moody, head of International Relations at BFI; and actress Aditi Rao Hydari during the Knowledge Series Panel discussion on the co-production journey of both countries.

"Thrilled and honoured to be a part of Lioness. I connected deeply with the film's values from the moment I heard its compelling story and the reason behind bringing her story to life. Our aspiration is to ensure that Princess Sophia's struggle receives the long-overdue recognition it truly deserves" said Khatija.

Lioness narrates the story of two women who lived a century apart. The first chronicle revolves around the Suffragette Princess Sophia Duleep Singh, the granddaughter of Maharajah Ranjit Singh and the god-daughter of Queen Victoria. This role will be portrayed by the prominent British-Asian actress Paige Sandhu. The second story introduces a fictional character, Simranjeet Kaur, living in Southall in the early 1990s, to be played by renowned Indian actress Aditi Rao Hydari.

Apart from Aditi Rao Hydari and Paige Sandhu, the cast of Lioness features an impressive lineup of established actors from both India and the UK. Highly experienced professionals from both countries form a formidable team for the film. Lioness will commence principal production in the first quarter of next year, aiming for a global release in early 2025.

Lioness is actively backed and supported by both NFDC in India and BFI in the UK. The film is produced by Shahnaab Alam, an established producer from India credited for several acclaimed films, and Vaishalli Paatil, an established producer from the UK. It is backed by Executive Producers Clare Cahill and Peter Bance.

The international debut of Khatija Rahman as the Music Director is marked by Lioness. In 2020, Khatija released her first independent single, 'Farishton', a meditative and mesmerizing piece promoting solidarity, cultural harmony, and the acceptance of diversity. This single was composed and produced by her father, the renowned maestro A.R. Rahman. Khatija's past collaborations include featuring alongside various artists on Grammy Award-winning composer and environmentalist Ricky Kej's song Iltaja, conveying a message of sustainability. Recently, she collaborated with Arivu for the widely circulated hit track 'Sagavaasi' for Coke Studio Tamil 2023 edition.

Deepa Mehta collaborates with Freida Pinto on her next

After the universally lauded documentary I Am Sirat on the Delhi-based transgender Sirat Teneja, Deepa Mehta has moved on to her next project. This time it is literary fiction. Says Deepa, “I am currently working on a feature film based on Avni Doshi’s novel Burnt Sugar which is set in Pune. I’m thrilled to be working with Freida Pinto, who is attached to star and produce.”

Freida Pinto will play Antara in this powerful and disturbing mother-daughter story from the Booker-nominated novelist Avni Doshi. Pinto whose career has been going through a rough patch of late, will be shooting in Pune early next year in a non-stop schedule.

In the meanwhile, Deepa Mehta is happy to inform that I Am Sirat is growing from strength to strength, “After our World Premiere at Toronto International Film Festival, we had screenings at Vancouver International Film Festival. These were followed by our International Premiere at BFI London Film Festival in competition. We are honoured that our Asian Premiere will be at Dharamshala International Film Festival on November 5, 2023. In 2024, the film will be released in March on CBC and CBC Gem.”

Kartik Aaryan to headline Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor's co-production; epic war drama set to release on August 15, 2025

Following the fallout during Dostana 2, Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan have buried the past and now are coming together for a project. After hinting at a collaboration for several months, the project has been announced today on the occasion of Kartik Aaryan's birthday. Without announcing the title of the movie, Karan is joining hands with Ekta Kapoor for this co-production which will be helmed by The Night Manager director Sandeep Modi.

For the unversed, Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan reportedly had a fallout after their collaboration Dostana 2 was shelved.  However, a source tells Bollywood Hungama, "Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan amicably resolved their previous hiccup. Now, putting the past behind them, Kartik is set to do a Dharma Productions film which is in co-collaboration with Balaji Telefilms. It is an epic war drama which will portray Kartik in a different light."

The source adds, "The backdoor conversations as heard over the last week, have resulted in an amicable resolution between Karan & Kartik." The title of the movie is yet to be decided. The casting for the leading lady is underway.

On Wednesday, Karan Johar took to social media to make the announcement which read, "Kickstarting today with some special news on a special day!! Extremely thrilled to announce @dharmamovies & @balajimotionpictures coming together for a film helmed by the exceptionally talented @sandeipm. I find myself elated to also announce the supremely talented @kartikaaryan as our lead for this story that will unfold in cinemas on 15th August, 2025!!!! Kartik, happy birthday to you…may our collaboration only grow from strength to strength from hereon and never cease to create magic on the big screen. @ektarkapoor, being your friend is easily the best thing and now working with you will be no different!!! @apoorva1972 @shobha9168 @vivek.koka."

Salman Khan opens up on delivering biggest Diwali hit with Tiger 3; says, “Tiger franchise will always make my filmography shine brighter!”

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is happy to be scripting another success story with Tiger 3! The YRF Spy Universe film is set to hit 400 crores worldwide and register the biggest ever Diwali hit!

Talking about the film, Salman said, “Three Tiger films, three success stories. The Tiger franchise sits dearly in my heart, and I’m glad that it has also found its place in the hearts of the audience. Tiger franchise is one of my most loved and is definitely a legacy brand that will always make my filmography shine brighter.”

He didn’t expect his first Tiger film to pave the path for not only a blockbuster Tiger franchise but also create the stepping stone for the fabled YRF Spy Universe.

Salman said, “When I was doing Ek Tha Tiger, I had no idea that we will have a sequel, forget about the fact that we now have a threequel in Tiger 3! It’s now a franchise on its own entertaining audiences worldwide since 2012. The proof of the success for any film or a franchise is in the success story it scripts.”

He further added, “I think the Tiger franchise has given audiences a desi spy like no other that people have showered heaps of love on. I have lived and breathed Tiger and I thank everyone for their warmth and appreciation for me and the films.”

Tiger 3, produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Maneesh Sharma, continues to draw audiences in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, marking another feather in Salman Khan's cap.

International Emmy Awards 2023: Jim Sarbh falls short in race; loses Best Performance by an Actor to Martin Freeman

The highly anticipated 51st International Emmy Awards has unveiled its winners, and in the category of Best Performance by an Actor, Martin Freeman emerged victorious for his outstanding portrayal in The Responder. Competing against a stellar lineup, Indian actor Jim Sarbh, recognized for his compelling role as nuclear physicist Homi J Bhabha in the acclaimed series Rocket Boys, faced tough competition but ultimately lost out to Freeman. The other nominees in the category included Gustavo Bassani for Iosi, El Espia Arrepentido from Argentina and Jonas Karlsson for the Swedish series Nattryttarna.

The news was announced via the official social media handle of the International Emmy Awards, which tweeted, “The International Emmy for Best Performance by an Actor goes to “Martin Freeman in The Responder” produced by Dancing Ledge Productions.”

Rocket Boys, a SonyLIV series created by Nikkhil Advani, revolved around the lives of Dr. Homi Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, key figures in India’s nuclear and space programs, respectively. Directed by Abhay Pannu, the series also features Ishwak Singh, Regina Cassandra, Saba Azad, Rajit Kapur, T.M Kartik, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Namit Das, and more.

While Jim Sarbh's stellar performance in Rocket Boys garnered acclaim, it was Freeman's impactful portrayal in The Responder that clinched the International Emmy for Best Actor. The gracious acknowledgment from Sarbh reflected the camaraderie and sportsmanship that characterize the global celebration of excellence.

Govinda and David Dhawan bury the hatchet; says, “Let bygones be bygones”

In the realms of Bollywood, few actor-director collaborations have achieved the iconic status that Govinda and David Dhawan enjoyed during the 80s and 90s. Their partnership gave birth to 17 films, most of which became hits. Despite their successful run, the duo faced a bitter fallout after their last collaboration in Partner (2007). However, recent developments indicate that the longstanding feud has finally come to an end, with Govinda and David Dhawan patching things up.

The Bollywood fraternity took notice when Govinda and David Dhawan were spotted interacting at filmmaker Ramesh Taurani's Diwali party, marking a significant step in their reconciliation. Addressing the buzz surrounding their renewed friendship, Govinda expressed gratitude for the continued support from fans who wish to see them working together again. He told Bombay Times, “I am glad people still feel that we should work together. Yeh unka pyaar hai [This is their love]. Our patch-up had already happened.”

The Diwali gathering was not just a chance encounter; it marked their second meeting. Describing the festive celebration, Govinda emphasized their focus on positive aspects and shared happy memories rather than delving into the past rift. He stated, “This was our second meeting. It was a Diwali bash where we ate good food and had a great time. We don't believe in raking up the past. Why mull over it? That's not necessary. Let bygones be bygones. Filmy talk wasn't a priority, but when that happened,  we only spoke about the happy memories and those were plenty.”

Govinda also revealed that the Diwali party hosted by Ramesh Taurani was the first film party he attended in nearly two decades. Reflecting on the changing dynamics of Bollywood gatherings, he criticized the trend of exclusive group parties and emphasized his preference for a more inclusive social environment. Govinda stated, “Ramesh Taurani is a good person. Over the years, Bollywood parties have become these group parties, and if you don't belong to a certain group (camp), you aren't invited. If you are not seen at these parties, it is assumed that you aren't social, which is wrong. I am not anti-social at all, and I don't believe in groups.” He underlined the misconception that not attending such events implies being anti-social, emphasizing his belief in a more open and diverse social scene.

Koffee With Karan 8 Promo: Karan Johar spills beans on ‘steamy affairs’ of Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan; latter calls him ‘Ghar Tode’

Just a day ago, a new promo of Koffee With Karan 8 was unveiled. Now, on November 20, the makers unveiled the latest trailer of the upcoming episode, and it is expected to feature Karan Johar’s favourite students, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan will be coming together on the couch after their debut on the show way back in 2013. And it seems it is going to be no less than a rollercoaster ride. The promo kicks off with Varun pleading Karan Johar about ‘keeping their relationships intact by the end of this show’.

For the unversed, the association of Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan with Karan Johar goes way back since the time the duo were assistant directors of the latter’s directorial My Name Is Khan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Opening up about shooting in UCLA for the film, Sidharth Malhotra revealed that Varun Dhawan would often ‘pataofy’ girls by promising them a photo with Shah Rukh Khan. While discussing the same, Karan Johar throws a googly at them saying, “At that point of time, you’ll were having very steamy affairs with the costume department”. Responding to KJo’s claims, Varun said, “In my dad's film there is a character called 'shaadi ram ghar jode', when it's Karan Johar, it's 'ghar thode'”.

The promo also showcases how Sidharth and Varun try to turn the tables on Karan Johar by asking him questions. While Varun asks him about how to make Salman Khan say ‘yes’ to a movie, Karan Johar responded, “Beg, borrow, steal”, Sidharth puts him in a spot asking about ‘his three best friends in Bollywood’, to which KJo stays silent. We also get a glimpse of the Rapid Fire round, where Sidharth and Karan Johar appreciate Varun’s a**. Karan goes on to describe it as a ‘bubble butt’, to which Dhawan adds that it is ‘smooth as velvet’.

The fun promo clip has received a lot of fans as they can’t wait to see what more secrets Karan Johar has in store for them. For the unversed, this is Sid’s first appearance after his marriage with Kiara Advani, and on the other hand, Varun Dhawan is married to his longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal.

Sushmita Sen opens up on father’s disapproval over swimsuit during Miss India; says, “My father didn't speak to me for a bit”

Sushmita Sen, the trailblazing Miss Universe 1994, recently delved into her journey to stardom, shedding light on her father's initial reservations about her participating in the Miss India pageant. In a candid interview with Mid-Day, the actress disclosed that her father, an Indian Army officer, was initially disapproving when she expressed her desire to enter the beauty pageant.

Sen, who made history as the first Indian to clinch the Miss Universe title, admitted that her father's dream for her was to become an IAS officer. Recalling the moment when she informed her father about participating in Miss India, Sen shared, “When the bomb was dropped on my father that she wants to enter Miss India, my father didn't speak to me for a bit. I remember having this very emotional moment with my father when I promised him, ‘Baba I have to wear a swimsuit. I cannot not wear it. It’s part of the show.”

In the interview, Sen detailed a heartfelt conversation with her father, assuring him of her commitment to maintain respect and dignity while participating in the swimsuit segment. She promised to handle it with grace and not be crass, emphasizing her understanding of the cultural nuances involved.

Sen acknowledged another point of contention with her father regarding education. Her decision not to pursue college and graduate was a source of concern for him. The actress, respecting her father's wishes, eventually made sure her daughter, Renee, earned her degree, echoing the emphasis on education instilled by her father. Sushmita said, “Because he always said, ‘Beta, do whatever, but have a degree.’ Wo mere mei bhi problem hai (I also have the same problem). I made Renee (daughter) also get her degree. That was my condition.”

Despite initial reservations, Sen's father evolved to become a pillar of support. He proudly received her honorary doctorate, a testament to the profound journey the actress embarked on, “I was sick as a dog that day. How apt that he received the doctorate from Mr. Narayana Murthy,” Sen added.

On the work front, Sushmita Sen continues to make waves with her recent release, Aarya season 3, which premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on November 3. Sushmita was also seen in Taali. Directed by Ravi Jadhav and featuring an ensemble cast, including Krutika Deo, Ankur Bhatia, Aishwarya Narkar, Suvrat Joshi, Hemangi Kavi, Meenakshi Chugh, and Maya Rachel McManus, narrates the inspirational journey of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant.
