Kangana Ranaut files FIR after receiving death threats

Actress Kangana Ranaut a few days ago took a dig at the current Farmer's protest which is going on in the country. She took it to her Instagram handle and penned a long note targeting the farmers. She even called the protest a 'Khalistani Movement'. Post that, several FIRs were filed against the actress from Mumbai as well as Delhi. Apart from that, the actress has been also receiving various death threats for her post. Taking action upon the death threats, the Queen actress has now lodged an FIR against the ones who've been threatening her. She also shared a copy of the FIR on her Instagram.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a post in which she posted a picture of herself from the Golden Temple and pictures of the FIR copy. In her caption she wrote, "Remembering the martyrs of the terrorist attack in Mumbai, I wrote that never forgive or forget the traitors. In this type of incident, the internal traitors of the country have a hand. The traitorous traitors never left a single opportunity to tarnish Mother India in the greed of money and sometimes in the greed of position and power and the traitors inside the country kept on helping the anti-national forces by conspiring, only then such incidents. I am getting constant threats from disruptive forces on this very post of mine. A brother of Bathinda has openly threatened to kill me. I am not afraid of this type of threats. I speak against those who conspire against the country and terrorist forces and will always speak. Be it Naxalites killing innocent jawans, tukde tukde gangs or terrorists sitting abroad dreaming of making Khalistan by cutting the holy land of Gurus in Punjab in the eighties. Democracy is the biggest strength of our country, government may be of any party, but the fundamental right to protect the integrity, unity and fundamental rights of citizens and expression of ideas has been given to us by the Constitution of Babasaheb Ambedkar.”

Further she added, "I have never said anything derogatory or hateful about any caste, religion, or group. I would also like to remind Congress President Smt. Sonia ji that you are also a woman, your mother-in-law Indira Gandhi ji fought strongly against this terrorism till the last moment. Kindly instruct your Chief Minister of Punjab to take immediate action on threats from such terrorist, disruptive and anti-national forces. I have registered an FIR with the police against the threats. I hope the Punjab government will also take action soon. The country is paramount for me, I am acceptable even if I have to sacrifice for this, but I am neither afraid nor will I ever be afraid, in the interest of the country, I will keep speaking openly against the traitors. Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer Janhit Mein Jaari put on hold due to financial troubles? Director Raaj Shaandilyaa clarifies

In September this year writer-director Raaj Sjaandilyaa announced his next venture titled Janhit Mein Jaari that would feature Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead. Later in November, it was reported that the shoot of the film had been stopped for a while since a few crew members tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Now, we hear that the film has run into some major trouble and has been kept on hold. In fact, as per sources, the makers of Janhit Mein Jaari have run into some serious financial trouble leaving the shoot of the film high and dry. Apparently, this sudden shortage of funds has led to the film being kept on the backburner for now.

However, clarifying whether Janhit Mein Jaari has been shelved or not, writer-director Raaj Sjaandilyaa says that the venture is far from being shelved. “No, nothing like that at all. Our second schedule of the film started on 28, we had paused for a bit in between since some of our crew members wanted to celebrate Diwali. Then there was the shoot for Ram Setu which Nushrratt had committed to. But we are very much still doing the film.” Further talking about the financial backing Janhit Mein Jaari has received Raaj continues, “In fact, we never had any financial issues with Janhit Mein Jaari. There were so many financers we could pick to fund the venture.”

Concluding his clarification about the Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer not being shelved Raaj Shaandilyaa also detailed his release plan saying, “We are looking to finish the shoot schedule by December 15 or 16. Then next year in January we are planning some promotional song and other things with a final release being scheduled for March 2022”

Nicolas Cage to play Dracula in Renfield starring alongside Nicholas Hoult

Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage has been cast to play the iconic vampire role Dracula in the upcoming Universal Pictures project Renfield, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The monster movie stars Nicholas Hoult as the titular Renfield, who was a henchman of the villainous vampire in the original Bram Stoker Dracula story from the 19th century.Many actors have portrayed Dracula in film, including Bela Lugosi in the black-and-white Universal classics, Gary Oldman in Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 version, Frank Langella, Christopher Lee, Gerard Butler and Luke Evans. Adam Sandler voiced Dracula in the Hotel Transylvania animated movies as well.

Chris McKay, who directed the Chris Pratt alien action flick The Tomorrow War, will direct Renfield. Thoughfurther plot details are unknown, Renfield is supposed to be some kind of modern-day reimagining of the relationship between Dracula and Renfield, and it was written by Rick and Morty vet Ryan Ridley from a pitch by the Walking Dead comic’s Robert Kirkman.

Earlier this year in February, Cage married for the fifth time, to his Japanese girlfriend Riko Shibata. On the work front, the 57- year old Oscar-winning actorhas found success in blockbusters like Ghost Rider, National Treasure. Nicolas Cage reprised his role in the sequel The Croods: A New Age, directed by Joel Crawford, which released theatrically in the United States on November 25, 2020. He has also starred in various independent films recently, including Pig, which was nominated for best feature at the Gotham Awards this year.

As the global star, Priyanka Chopra, gears up for her Hollywood release The Matrix Resurrections, the actress recently made an appearance on InStyle's Ladies First With Laura Brown to talk about her career, marriage, and more. During the conversation, the actress spoke about the unrealistic beauty standards and how she fell for equity on lighter skin.

A few years ago, Priyanka Chopra faced backlash for promoting fairness creams pretty early on in her career, which she regrets. “There were so many unrealistic beauty standards. Being ridiculously skinny was one, which I didn’t think about in my 20s, because I had a crazy metabolism at that point, as you do. But more than that, the equity on lighter skin in Asia, for sure. That’s something that I fell for. The fact that you have to be perfect, your face has to be perfect, your hair has to be perfect, you have to dress perfect, speak perfect, you have to have the right opinion on everything, you have to say the right thing. I think that part was the first (time) I kind of was like, ‘Forget it, I’m okay being messy sometimes, and it’s okay.’” she said in the podcast.

In a Marie Claire profile sometime earlier this year, she said, “[Skin lightening] was so normalized in South Asia; it’s such a large industry that everyone was doing it. In fact, doing it is still a check [mark] when you are a female actor, but it’s awful. And it was awful for me, for a little girl who used to put talcum-powder cream on my face because I believed that dark skin was not pretty.”

Adele announces Las Vegas Residency titled Weekends with Adele, beginning in January 2022

Singer-songwriter Adele will begin the exclusive residency in the Colosseum of Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace Hotel from Friday January 21, 2022. Titled “Weekends With Adele,” the singer will perform two shows each weekend through Saturday April 16, 2022 for a total of 12 weeks.

The long-rumored announcement comes after the singer’s fourth studio album, 30, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week with by far the year’s biggest first-week numbers, around 839,000 units. It debuted at No. 1 on album charts in 30 countries and has become the top-selling album of 2021 in just three days surpassing Taylor Swift’s Evermore, which had sold 462,000 copies over 11 months.

The Colosseum has an official capacity of 4,100, which provides a relatively intimate environment for Adele’s famously chatty concerts, for her stately and often-sad songs contrasting with her bawdy humor and hilarious, self-deprecating banter. Adele’s shows take place across consecutive weekends, except for February 18-19. Apparently, Caesars Palace has no vaccine requirement for these or any concerts.

Along with two dates in London’s Hyde Park next summer and her recent One Night Only CBS special filmed at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, the Las Vegas residency shows are the only concert dates Adele has announced in support of 30 thus far.

Adele undertook a massive global tour in 2016 and 2017 supporting her previous album, 25, which took in some 121 arena dates across Europe, North America, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand before wrapping with four shows at London’s 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium.

Halle Berry to star and produce several Netflix films as her directorial debut Bruised premieres on platform

Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry continues to break down barriers acting in a multitude of critically acclaimed, diverse roles and most recently added the title of ‘director’ to her already impressive filmography. Halle Berry and Netflix will continue to collaborate through a new partnership that will see Berry star in and produce new films.

Halle Berry says, “My directorial debut, Bruised, was a labor of love and I knew that Scott and Ted would treat it with great care. The Netflix team has not only been collaborative and creative, but extremely passionate and a delight to work with. I am beyond grateful for the partnership and look forward to telling more stories together.”

Up next, Berry is set to make her highly anticipated directorial debut in her new film, Bruised, in which she also stars. The plot follows a disgraced MMA fighter who must fight a rising MMA star while journeying to become the mother her child deserves. The film first debuted at the 2020 Toronto Film Festival and was acquired by Netflix and is set to release on the streaming platform on November 24, 2021.

Additionally upcoming, Berry will be seen in Roland Emmerich-helmed sci-fi epic Moonfall, for Lionsgate. The film follows the journey of three unlikely heroes mounting a last-ditch mission into space to save the world from annihilation after a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit. The film is due in theaters on February 4, 2022.

Most recently, Berry completed filming on Netflix’s The Mothership, which she will star in and executive produce. Oscar-nominated Bridge of Spies screenwriter Matt Charman wrote the script and will be directing the film for his feature directorial debut.

Outside of the deal, Berry will next be seen in the action film Our Man From Jersey alongside Mark Wahlberg.

Money Heist spin-off Berlin starring Pedro Alonso to premiere on Netflix in 2023

It's official - Berlin from Money Heist is getting his own show. Ahead of the final season premiere of the hit Spanish series La Casa De Papel, Netflix announced Pedro Alonso will get a spin-off titled Berlin: A New Series, coming in 2023.

On November 30, the Money Heist cast attended a fan event. The event saw the cast, creators and fans from all over the world in a global celebration of the legacy of La Casa de Papel. In anticipation of the launch of the show finale on December 3rd, the event featured conversations with the stars of the show, exclusive announcements, and exciting content.

“I know that these people will give the series every possible twist and turn,” he said. “The responsibility (of spinning off such a popular series) can be a burden and a prison, I hope we continue to have the courage to use this wonderful energy to risk everything again,” he added.

Set in Madrid, the Money Heist gang has been shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. They have managed to rescue Lisbon, but their darkest moment is upon them after losing one of their own. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, doesn’t have an escape plan. Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, an enemy comes on the scene that is much more powerful than any they’ve faced: the army. The end of the greatest heist in history is approaching, and what began as a robbery will turn into a war. Part 5 of the iconic series will be released in two volumes, on September 3 and December 3, 2021.

Squid Game star Park Hae Soo to play Berlin in Korean remake of Money Heist, meet the entire cast

Netflix megahit series Money Heist will come to a close with season 5. The final season airs on December 3, 2021. Netflix was planning on working on a Korean adaptation of the same series and the cast was announced in March 2021. But, one casting was remaining of Berlin. Now, the makers have signed Squid Game star Park Hae Soo to play Berlin in the Korean remake of Money Heist.

Following the breakout series Squid Game and currently airing Chimera, Park Hae Soo was already on board for the series. Now, the official announcement was made on November 30, 2021.

Netflix had earlier announced the casting of the Korean adaptation of its beloved Spanish Original Series La Casa De Papel. The Korean Original Series will feature an exciting cast from Korea’s top talents including Yoo Ji Tae who takes the role of Álvaro Morte's Professor.  He is known for his performances in When My Love Blooms, The Swindlers, Money, Svaha: The Sixth Finger, and Kim Yunjin (Seven Days, Ode to My Father, Lost, Mistresses) as Seon Woo Jin, an inspector at Task Force Team, who is set for the role of  Itziar Ituño's Raquel.

The other gang members include Jeon Jong Seo as Tokyo, Lee Won Jong as Moscow, Kim Ji Hun as Denver, Jang Yoon Ju as Nairobi, Park Jung-woo as Rio, Kim Ji Hun as Helsinki, Lee Kyu Ho as Oslo. The hostages will be played by Park Myung-hoon (Cho Youngmin) who will reportedly play Korean counterpart of Arturo and Lee Joo-been (Youn Misun) who takes over the role of Mónica Gaztambide/Stockholm.

Money Heist's Korean version is written by Ryu Yong Jae, Kim Hwan Chae, and Choe Sung Jun and directed by Kim Hong-sun. The Korean adaptation of La Casa De Papel is set on the Korean peninsula, and the shows’ creators will breathe new life into the familiar storyline and bring the material afresh to global audiences with 12 episodes.

Salman Khan’s documentary 'Beyond The Star' to present the superstar’s journey in an honest and fun way

A documentary on the life of one of India's biggest superstars- Salman Khan- is currently in the making. The series will present an honest and fun account of the actor off-camera.

As per reports, the film will trace the journey of the superstar from his journey in the film industry to his equation with the people in the film industry to his controversies. His friends, family, and members from the film industry who have worked with him will narrate his story and talk about how Salman was earlier and how he is now.

Recently, Salman Khan in an interview with PTI revealed that it was his friend, Romanian actor-model Iulia Vantur who came up with the idea of making a docu-series to document his 33-year journey in the movies.

The docu-series directed by Viraf Sarkari also talks about the people who helped Khan become the superstar that he is today. Salman Khan said that the docu-series went on floors in October and that people came in and spoke about things they liked and did not like. He said that his entire journey has been captured honestly.

The documentary titled ‘Beyond the Star’ will be co-produced by Khan, Wiz Films, and Applause Entertainment.

Salman Khan to play Indian spy agent Ravindra Kaushik in a film co-produced by Alvira and Atul Agnihotri

Salman Khan is currently busy promoting his recently released film Antim-The Final Truth. The film directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and co-starring Aayush Sharma is the superstar's first theatrical release post the pandemic.

Salman Khan also has Tiger 3 in the pipeline, the shoot of which is underway. The Tiger series sees him play the role of a RAW agent Tiger. Now, the actor has confirmed that he will be seen playing the role of real-life Indian spy agent Ravindra Kaushik in a film which will be co-produced by his sister Alvira Agnihotri and his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri. Earlier this year, there were reports of the actor bringing the story of agent Kaushik on screen and now he has confirmed the same.

This will be the first time in his 3-decade-long career that Salman will be seen essaying a real-life character. Reportedly, the film will be set in the era of the 70s and 80s and will be a dramatic thriller.

For the unversed, Agent Ravindra Kaushik is regarded as India's best spy to ever penetrate the ranks of the Pakistan Army. Popularly known as Black Tiger, Kaushik loved theatre and performing on stage, which led to the RAW spotting him and utilizing his talents for the country. He was sent to Pakistan, where he completed his LLB and joined the army, and became a commissioned officer. From 1979 to 1983 he passed on critical information to the Indian defense forces which were of great help.

Disha Parmar rubbishes the rumours of Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2 going off-air

Sony TV came up with the second season of the popular show Bade Acche Lagte Hai earlier this year. The show originally starred Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor in the lead roles. The first season of the show got immense popularity and has a successful run of approximately 4 years.

The second season of the show starred popular on-screen couple Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar as Ram and Priya respectively. The second season of the show although has been doing good among the audience however hasn't been to match up the success of season 1.

Recently, there were rumours about the show going off-air. The reports claim that Nakuul and Disha will be wrapping up the shoot of the show in the second week of December. Reacting to the reports, the leading lady of the show Disha Parmar spoke to a tabloid. Disha confirmed that the show is not going off-air and the rumours are not true at all. She also said that they are still shooting for it and there is an interesting track coming up in the show.

While a source close to the show has also confirmed that the show was supposed to be a finite show. However, it is not ending in December. There are some interesting twists and turns lined up in the coming episodes. The current track revolves around Ram and Priya talking about extending their family.

Salman Khan confirms Sooraj Barjatya collaboration; reveals he's doing a comedy film too

Actor Salman Khan has done back-to-back action films in the last 5 years. While earlier the superstar used to get engaged in roles where his character was a lover boy and a family man. For a long time, Salman Khan has not appeared in any such roles. A majority of the audience has been demanding to see him back in the family genre as Prem.

During a press meet on Sunday on 20 November 2021, when he was asked if he is willing to return to that genre he says, "Yes, Sooraj’s (Barjatya) film will come soon. No one can make the kind of films that Sooraj does and he will get a script for me soon. That film will happen once Sooraj comes to me.”

Well, Salman Khan has been also missing from the comedy genre for a long time. He was even quizzed about making a return to the comedy genre. To which he informed that he was on a hunt for a good script that takes comedy to the next level. Confirming to make a comeback in the comedy genre Salman exclaimed “Yes, that hunt (for comedy) has come to an end. A comedy film is coming soon… Bahut Jald hogi ek comedy film (You will know it soon)".

When the superstar met Sajid Nadiadwala to decide on the dates, the producer made a special request to Salman, which he couldn't say a no to. Sajid spoke to Salman and requested him to reduce his remuneration as the market scenario is bad and Salman willingly agreed to do it for his friend, Sajid," a trade source informed Bollywood Hungama.

"Salman has now agreed to be a part of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali with a remuneration of Rs. 125 crores only, thereby giving a discount of near about 15% to his producer friend. He will however get some share of profits once the film releases, which is the reason why his banner, SKF too, is involved in the film." Interestingly, last year, Sajid Nadiadwala got a discount from Akshay Kumar too. The producer had requested Akshay to slash his acting fees for Bachchan Pandey and the actor willingly reduced it from the initially decided figure of Rs. 117 crore to Rs. 99 crore.

Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is currently in the pre-production stage and will go on floors in January with a marathon schedule in Mumbai. It stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead.

EXCLUSIVE: Jacqueline Fernandez kisses conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar in this mirror selfie

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate as a witness in a Rs. 200 crore Money laundering case. There were reports that the prime accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is being investigated for cheating and extortion, was briefly dating the Bollywood star. Last week a picture of Sukesh and Jacqueline had gone viral. Now, Bollywood Hungama has accessed a picture in which Jacqueline can be seen kissing Sukesh in a mirror selfie.

As per reports, ED sources have said that  Sukesh Chandrasekhar had met Jacqueline Fernandez about four times in Chennai and even arranged a private jet for her.

Last month, Jacqueline Fernandez was questioned for seven hours by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar and his wife, actor Leena Maria Paul. Chandrasekhar's lawyer Anant Malik had earlier claimed that Jacqueline was in a relationship with Sukesh. However, Jacqueline's spokesperson has denied the claim.

In its charge sheet, the Delhi Police has accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar and 13 others of duping the wife of the former promoter of Ranbaxy to the tune of Rs 200 crore. Officials believe Chandrashekhar extorted Rs 200 crore from the complainant by claiming that he would facilitate her husband's release from prison.

Kriti Sanon reveals details of her role in Bhediya; says, “It’s a very unique role”

In Amar Kaushik’s Bhediya, Indian cinema’s first werewolf story, leading-lady Kriti Sanon is not cast as the conventional heroine opposite Varun Dhawan. When asked about it Kriti, without giving away the plot, said, “We haven’t said anything about it, though the trailer does indicate the presence of a werewolf. And why must we assume that I will play the conventional romantic lead? My role can be more character-driven. I could be playing something other than the love-interest.”

The Mimi actress describes her role as something never attempted before. “It’s a very unique role, very tricky to play. It’s a world I’ve never inhabited. Bhediya is one of the most entertaining scripts that I’ve done so far. I was in splits when I heard it.”

She is all praise for the director. “Amar Kaushik is a very confident director with a great grip on his storytelling. His energy on the sets is infectious. He really likes to play around with the scenes. It’s a lot of fun to be directed by him.”

Kriti seems super-charged by the experience. “It’s a really unique film never done in Indian cinema before. For me the horror comedy is a unique space. Also, we got to explore the beautiful landscape of Himachal Pradesh during shooting.”

On top of all this Kriti is physically transformed in Bhediya. “My look in the film is extremely unique. When you see me you will wonder, is that really Kriti? It’s good to experiment with different looks in different films.”

Channing Tatum and director Steven Soderbergh reunite for the third installment of male stripper saga Magic Mike's Last Dance

American actor and producer Channing Tatum and director Steven Soderbergh will be reuniting for the third installment in the Warner Bros. male stripper saga, Magic Mike’s Last Dance.

Tatum confirmed the news on Twitter, sharing a picture of his script with the caption,” Well world, looks like Mike Lane’s tapping back in.” He elaborated on his excitement in a statement to Variety, writing, “There are no words for how excited I am to blow the doors off of the world of ‘Magic Mike’ with Steven, Greg, Reid and the amazing people at HBO Max. The stripperverse will never be the same.”

Magic Mike is loosely based on Tatum’s experiences as an 18-year-old stripper in Tampa, Fla. The original 2012 movie proved to be more than a shameless cash-grab for audiences to watch a shirtless Tatum, accompanied by muscular co-stars Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Matthew McConaughey. It also became a surprise critical and commercial success, earning $167 million at the box office and scoring sterling reviews for Tatum and Soderbergh.

A sequel, Magic Mike XXL, was released in 2015. The movie was well received and generated $120 million globally.The franchise proved to be lucrative beyond the big screen. Tatum later conceived and co-directed Magic Mike Live in Vegas, which expanded internationally with sold-out shows in London, Berlin and Australia. It was Magic Mike Live in Vegas that eventually enticed Soderbergh back into what Tatum has dubbed “the stripperverse.”

The live shows inspired the upcoming HBO Max reality competition series Finding Magic Mike, premiering on December 16. The show follows 10 men who have “lost their magic” as they bare their souls and learn to perform dance routines. The winner will be awarded a cash prize and a chance to perform on the Magic Mike Live stage in Vegas.

Meanwhile, as reported by Deadline, Magic Mike’s Last Dance will not be playing in theaters and instead will premiere directly on HBO Max, the streaming service owned by WarnerMedia. Reid Carolin, who wrote the first two movies, is returning to pen the newest entry about Tatum’s character Mike Lane. Though plot details for the next chapter have not been revealed, it’s expected to wrap a bow on the trilogy.

Magic Mike XXL director Gregory Jacobs is producing Magic Mike’s Last Dance with Carolin, Nick Wechsler and Peter Kiernan.

Tom Holland to return as Spider-Man in three films, confirms producer Amy Pascal

Tom Holland returns with the third installment in the "Homecoming" trilogy, Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will wrap up the project that began with 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, followed by 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home. While Marvel is yet to announce the next set of Spidey films, producer Amy Pascal has confirmed it won't be the last time Tom Holland will don the Spider-Man costume.

Speaking to international tabloid Fandango, Pascal said that Sony Pictures will continue to work Marvel on Spider-Man films and Tom Holland will indeed return. "This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie," Pascal revealed. "We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We're thinking of this as three films, and now we're going to go on to the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies."

The Tom Holland and Zendaya starrer will also have appearances from Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are expected to make appearances in this multiverse story.

Gucci family issues duming statement over the portrayal of Aldo Gucci in Ridley Scott's House of Gucci

The heirs of Aldo Gucci have issued a statement saying they are “a bit disconcerted” about what they claim is their inaccurate portrayal in Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci film.

According to Variety, the statement said, “The production of the film did not bother to consult the heirs before describing Aldo Gucci, president of the company for 30 years [played by Al Pacino in the film], and the members of the Gucci family as thugs, ignorant and insensitive to the world around them.”

It added that the picture attributes “a tone and an attitude to the protagonists of the well-known events that never belonged to them. This is extremely painful from a human point of view and an insult to the legacy on which the brand is built today.”

The statement was first published by Italian news agency ANSA, goes on to blast how Milanese socialite Patrizia Reggiani (played by Lady Gaga in the film), who was convicted in 1998 of facilitating the murder of Maurizio Gucci (played by Adam Driver), “is portrayed not just in the film, but also in statements from cast members, as a victim trying to survive in a male and male chauvinist corporate culture. This couldn’t be further from the truth,” the statement read as during the 70-year time span when the Gucci company was a family business, it was “an inclusive company,” it claimed.

The statement noted that during the 1980s when the film is set, there were several women who held top positions such as the president of Gucci America, the head of Global PR and communications etc.,- whether they were family members or not.

The statement concluded, “Gucci is a family that lives honoring the work of its ancestors, whose memory does not deserve to be disturbed to stage a spectacle that is untrue and which does not do justice to its protagonists,” adding that “the members of the Gucci family reserve the right to take action to protect the name, image and dignity of themselves and their loved ones.”

The full statement, translated from the Italian, is below:

“The Gucci family takes note of the release of the film “House of Gucci” and is a bit disconcerted because, although the work claims to want to tell the “true story” of the family, the fears raised by the trailers and interviews released so far, are confirmed: the film carries a narrative that is far from accurate.

The production of the film did not bother to consult the heirs before describing Aldo Gucci – president of the company for 30 years – and the members of the Gucci family as thugs, ignorant and insensitive to the world around them, attributing to the protagonists, events, a tone and an attitude that never belonged to them. This is extremely painful from a human point of view and an insult to the legacy on which the brand is built today.

Even more objectionable is the reconstruction that becomes mystifying almost to the point of paradox when gets to the point of suggesting an indulgent tone towards a woman who, definitively convicted of having been the instigator of the murder of Maurizio Gucci, is painted not only in the film, but also in the statements made by cast members, as a victim who was trying to survive in a masculine and macho corporate culture.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. Moreover, over the course of it 70-year history during which it was a family business, Gucci was an inclusive company. Indeed, precisely in the 1980s – the historical context in which the film is set – women were in several top positions: whether they were members of the family or extraneous to it, these included the president of Gucci America, the Head of Global PR & Communication, and a member of the board of directors of Gucci America.

Gucci is a family that lives honoring the work of its ancestors, whose memory does not deserve to be disturbed to stage a film that is not true and that does not do justice to its protagonists. The members of the Gucci family reserves every right to protect the name, image and the dignity of their loved ones.”

Despite the tone of the statement, no legal action is being taken at this time by the Gucci family against Scott’s Scott Free shingle and Universal, according to reports.

House of Gucci was released in India on 26 November 2021.

The BJP-led Arunanchal Pradesh Government has signed Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt as Brand Ambassador and award-winning filmmaker and branding expert Rahul Mittra as Brand Advisor on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebrations, marking the 50th year of the naming of the state.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Assembly Speaker Pasang Sona Dorjee at a packed function in the presence of both Sanjay Dutt and Rahul Mittra who arrived from Mumbai by chartered flight to Dibrugarh and then by helicopter to the picturesque valley of Mechuka in the afternoon today. A big media campaign conceptualised and executed by Rahul Mittra Films and shot by top ad-filmmaker and drummer Pentagram Shiraz Bhattacharya was kick-started on this occasion, featuring Sanjay Dutt as a youth icon, nature lover, de-addiction proponent and an ever-evolving individual catering to the niche target audience for Arunanchal tourism.

In addition to the promotional films, Dutt will also engage with the local youth of the state on a series of initiatives on substance abuse and other key issues that cause concern in the state. Filming on a large scale is taking place at Ziro village, Pakke valley, Dambuk, Namsai, Parshuram Kund, Pasighat, Mechuka and Tawang. The month long celebrations will commence at Ziro on January 20, 2022 as it was in Ziro that Arunanchal Pradesh got its name and Union Territory status in 1972. The closing ceremony will be held in Itanagar on the occasion of the Statehood Day on February 20,2022.

Ranveer Singh starrer ‘83 to have its World Premiere on December 15 at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival

Ahead of its theatrical release, the film will have its World Premiere on December 1 at Saudi Arabia's Red Sea International Film Festival. Ranveer Singh will be seen stepping into the shoes of Kapil Dev in the film that narrates the historic win of the Indian cricket team at the 1983 World Cup. Also starring are Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree, and Pankaj Tripathi. The teaser of the film was released a couple of days ago and has only raised the excitement around the film. The trailer of the film is expected to be released on November 30.

Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee confirmed to star in musical romance drama by Vincenzo director

South Korean actors Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee will be starring together in an upcoming drama. As reported by Korean tabloid Soompi, on November 29, it was confirmed that the two actors would both be appearing in the upcoming drama Soundtrack #1, which was formerly known as Why Did You Come to My House.

The drama will be a music romance drama about a man and woman who have been friends for 20 years. When the two longtime friends wind up living together for two weeks, they slowly begin to realize their feelings for one another.

Park Hyung Sik will star in the drama as male lead Han Sun Woo, a rising photographer who is a man of few words, but has a warm and caring personality. Han So Hee will star as Lee Eun Soo, a fun and honest lyricist who isn’t afraid of speaking her mind.

On the work front, Park Hyung Sik is currently appearing in drama Happiness whereas Han So Hee was last seen in 2021 critically acclaimed Netflix drama My Name.

Soundtrack #1 will be helmed by director Kim Hee Won of Vincenzo and The Crowned Clown. The drama is currently slated to premiere in 2022.

Nakuul Mehta and Anya Singh return to ZEE5 with Never Kiss Your Best Friend season 2

EXCLUSIVE: Karan Johar's Dharma Production announces Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh to release on February 10, 2023

 Following Ae Dil Hai Mushkil that released five years ago, filmmaker Karan Johar is donning the director's hat again for his next movie titled Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. In July, the filmmaker announced the project that he is going back to directing. Bollywood Hungama was the first to reveal the title and cast of the upcoming family-centric movie. Starring Gully Boy pair Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead, the film's cast also includes Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Jaya, who has worked with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kal Ho Na Ho, plays Ranveer's grandmother whereas Dharmendra and Shabana play Alia's grandparents.

A day ago, Karan Johar shared a selfie with his lead actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt teasing that they will announce the release date of the film November 29. Now, we have learnt that the Dharma Productions' film will release on February 10, 2023.

Revealing the release date of the film, Karan Johar took to Twitter sharing a video while adding, "After 7 years, it gives me such joy & gratitude to be here and announcing that my next #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani, a love story at its heart with the soul of family values - is releasing on 10th February, 2023."

Currently, the cast is in Delhi shooting for the film. Farah Khan will choreograph the songs whereas Manish Malhotra has designed the costumes. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan is one of the assistant directors on the film.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy and produced under Dharma Productions.

Marvel fans rejoice! Tom Holland starrer Spider-Man: No Way Home to release a day earlier in India on December 16

India's favorite super-hero has seen fervent excitement & unprecedented demand, due to which the big-ticket entertainer will witness an earlier theatrical release, one day before the USA market. Marvel fans can rejoice! Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to release a day earlier in India on 16th December!

 

The trailer teased the return of some familiar faces — including Zendaya as M.J., Jacob Batalon as Ned, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May but it also gives best look of a few familiar foes. Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe are back, reprising their roles as Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin respectively from the Tobey Maguire movies, as is Jamie Foxx's Electro who first popped up in the Andrew Garfield era. The trailer also teased the first look at Thomas Haden Church's Sandman from Spider-Man 3 and Rhys Ifans' Lizard from The Amazing Spider-Man.

Vicky Kaushal wants a big fat wedding, Katrina Kaif wants it private

There is an ongoing debate between the ready-for-marriage couple Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif on what their wedding should be like this December.

Katrina wants an intimate wedding with just her family and close friends present to witness the marriage. Just how ‘intimate’ it would be with her 7 siblings and their family, is another matter. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal wants a lavish Punjabi wedding.

“Actually, it’s Vicky’s parents (action director Sham Kaushal and Veena Kaushal) who want to invite everyone they know. Arrey, it is the elder son’s wedding and they would like to share the moment with their entire family,” says a mutual friend of the couple.

At the moment it seems Katrina’s wish for an intimate ceremony would prevail.

Louis Vuitton and Off-White designer Virgil Abloh passes away at 41 after privately battling cancer for 2 years; BTS, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid pay tribute

Louis Vuitton and Off-White designer Virgil Abloh has died at age 41 after a two-year battle with cancer, confirms his family. "We are devastated to announce the passing of our beloved Virgil Abloh, a fiercely devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend," Abloh's family said Sunday in a statement posted to Abloh's Instagram page. Abloh's family revealed the designer was diagnosed with "a rare, aggressive form of cancer" called cardiac angiosarcoma. "For over two years, Virgil valiantly battled a rare, aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma. He chose to endure his battle privately since his diagnosis in 2019, undergoing numerous challenging treatments, all while helming several significant institutions that span fashion, art, and culture."

"Through it all, his work ethic, infinite curiosity, and optimism never wavered," the family said. "Virgil was driven by his dedication to his craft and to his mission to open doors for others and create pathways for greater equality in art and design."

The family added that the ace designer believed in art's ability "to inspire future generations" and often said, "Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself."

Virgil Abloh is survived by his loving wife Shannon Abloh, his children Lowe Abloh and Grey Abloh, his sister Edwina Abloh, his parents Nee and Eunice Abloh, and numerous dear friends and colleagues.
